********************no one's Pov*******************
The next morning Alduin opened his ruby eyes only to be met with a throbbing pain in his head and slightly groaned as he sat up in the bed. A frown sat upon his lips because whatever happened last night was a little bit of a blur, the only thing he could recall was Colette and himself drinking something. He forgot the name of the blasted stuff he dranked, but already concluded he was never going to drink it again. Alduin slightly rubbed his temples as he looked up, a little curious as to why he was in the bed colette was suppose to sleep on. Though he spotted her as soon as he looked up, seeing that she was asleep on a chair that looked quite uncomfortable. The female nord even looked uncomfortable despite herself sleeping peacefully, but he even noticed his armor was neatly placed somewhere else and off of himself.
Now he was more curious too what happened last night, though didn't seem too worried about it as he stood up to stretch. He slightly lost his balance at first, but straightened up, now ignoring the slight throbbing of his head. He wanted to walk around anyway, not wanting to be in such a confining place for too long, so he put back on his armor, quiet enough not to wake colette. Though at some point he seemed to stare at her for a bit, kinda watching her peaceful face as she slept.
He wondered why she let him sleep on the bed, though soon enough without much of a thought he walked over to her after putting on his armor and placed his arms under her gently without disturbing her. He picked her up bridle style, but shortly placed her on the bed so she didn't have to sleep somewhere uncomfortable. Alduin had to convince himself it was only so she didn't old them up during there trip. After covering her up with the blanket he moved out the room with only the floor boards squeaking and left the inn to get a stretch or to explore the small town for a bit.
Colette on the other hand woke up a few hours after stretching in the bed before she realized were she now was. Alduin was gone and she now was on the bed, but assumed she was stretching or getting rid of his headache. She slept a little into noon, getting up and getting ready, by putting her armor back on. She honestly felt refreshed now and was ready to make the trip to solitude. It might not even be a two hour trip if they get moving now, but she needed to see where Alduin went. Without much of a delay she got a piece of bread for breakfast and left the inn. She first went to her horse and untied it.
"Drem yol lok,"came the voice of alduin, making colette greet back.
"We are visiting solitude for today, just to refill on supplies, so be careful since it's a big city and crawling with guards,"she explained as began to pull the reins with her to began walking. "So how did you like your first hangover?"
"Shut up,"he frowned. "I'm never doing that again, cursed drink."
colette couldn't help but to slightly chuckle, "to be fair I did warn you."
Alduin rolled his eyes at the nord woman, "what happened last night by the way?"
"you just got drunk, so I took you out your armor since the mead was going to put you to sleep,"she explained, leaving out the last part that happened. Thinking back to last night made her cheeks slightly warmed up.
He seemed to take the story as he nodded and looked up ahead to the road again, while Colette released a small sigh. She got her thoughts out of last night and focused on other things as they walked on the road quietly again. It was like that for little while, the quietness between the two, except for the rocks, crunching under there feet or the animals in the woods making small noises. she was use to the noises and at the same time the silence, but a half an hour of walking, she felt something strange. It was a feeling she felt often as dragonborn, which was a pull of a soul. this feeling told her a dovah was dead somewhere and the soul was ready to be absorbed, but she didn't want too. In fact she was quite curious as to were this was and looked towards alduin.
"We are going to take a small detour,"she said simply as she already began to move towards the woods, with the horse.
"why do you think this is appropriate?"he questioned as they walked in, colette leading the way.
"you'll see,"she muttered as they walked in further, back into silence again, but it didn't take long until they came up on a large creature, slumped on the ground, dead. Colette looked at the creature, inspecting it's wounds or if the person who killed it left anything, she glanced up at alduin who was frowning at the body.
Alduin slowly felt anger, but calmed himself quickly as he watched colette inspect the body, until she took out a sword from it's torso. Blood smeared the long weapon that looked like a katana, though once founded the sword, she moved back up front, placing a hand on it's muzzle. Alduin looked at her curiously, questioning to himself and maybe still confused at the dragonborn's actions. No matter what he couldn't understand this woman, but why was he so intrigued at the same time? She looked at the weapon as if she knew what it was, or maybe who it belonged too. He couldn't help, but to ask something.
