Upon arriving to Whiterun on the dragon's back I made him land a safe distance away from the gates, so the guards wouldn't freak out and try to hurt him. A few guards though saw him, but before they can call forth other guards he flew back up into the sky quickly leaving me limping on the stone trail, catching the attention of the guards as they started to make their way towards me, once the dragon was away. Fortunately I was recognized as thane of Whiterun and the dragonborn ever since the greybeards summoned me once within the city.

"It's the dragonborn!"I heard one of them say as he came close to me, while there was a second one.

I breathed heavily while leaning on my damaged, ebony battle ax.

"You look like you came from a bloody battle,"he stated.

I chuckled painfully,"I did, fighting Alduin isn't an easy task, but I need a healer quickly please."

They did as they where told and helped me to the gate by leaning on them and using them as support as I limped painfully to the temple. Once inside of the city I earned stares and curious glances from other people, but ignored them, more focused on the pain then the people that stopped to look at me and my battle injuries. From the loss of blood I already started to face in and out of consciousness, until I felt myself being laid down on a hay bed with fur on top. The guards left as the head priestess of the temple came up to me with almost a shocked face.

"What kind of battle did you come from?"she asked curiously to me.

"The kind I didn't expect to come back from,"I mumbled with a hiss from pain as I moved my broken leg.

Danica pure-spring carefully looked over my injuries and I felt she started to remove my broken dragon armor. It's unfortunate that my armor didn't survive the battle, but I could always ask a friend who made the armor to make another set because I'm sure I can recall I had more dragon bones at breezehome here because It's where I stored them to keep them safe. For now I would have to wear my old steel armor that I left over their.

Once my heavy armor was removed I was left in my trousers and white, bloodstained shirt. unfortunately that even was torn in almost every spot, and blood almost completely stained it.

"You have such serious injuries,"Danica said."I suggest you will be here for quite awhile until you recover, so tell me what happened."

I breathed,"It's a long story."

"I have time,"she said as she started the healing process.

After explaining my story to her I made sure not to tell her that I let Alduin live, because I very much rather keep it a secret. Once she was too weak to go on healing, the pain already subsided, but she had to recover for the rest of the day and continue tomorrow. Meanwhile I stayed and rested in the bed, almost falling asleep, until I heard Danica enter the small room again.

"You have a visitor,"she informed me.

"How did the battle fair,"I heard the voice of the jarl's housecarl ask.

The dark elf looked around my body already guessing the battle was bloody.

"By the looks of it it seems that your mission was successful."she said in a statement more then a question.

I nodded anyway as I moved to sit up slowly.

"Balgruuf sent me to see how you where fairing, it's good to see you are alive,"the dark elf said almost sincerely.

After a couple more minutes of talking she left with a goodbye and left me to myself for the night. In fact I didn't know I was this tired until now, I mean it almost felt as if I didn't sleep in forever.

****************************************************

Feeling my blue eyes blink open a gave a painful sigh as I sat up from the uncomfortable sleep. I felt pain surge through my broken leg again and my chest felt as if it wanted to split. I breathed, trying to suppress the pain again, until Danica came into the small room again with breakfast. Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to eat after another healing session, but it was better so I could eat without the pain throbbing around my body.

"Good new is that you'll be fully recovered by next week,"Dancica told me nicely before leaving.

I nodded and smile to myself as I started to finish my tomato soup and placed it to the side after I was finished with it. For half of the day I had to lay here again and sleep or think about Alduin who I sent away instead of really killing him, I just hope nobody finds out.

"Colette, the companions are here to see you,"Danica poked in before stepping to the side.

The only companions who came were my good friends Farkas, Vilkas, and Alea. Alea looked at me with a shock face.

"So the rumors were true,"She said with a small gasp.

"That looks painful,"Farkas put in.

I chuckled,"very painful."

"When will you be up?"Alea asked.

"I would say about tomorrow or day after,"I explained. "I need to get to the skyfordge.

Vilkas folded his arms,"You know what would happen if you show up again right?"

I nodded,"I do, it's better to solve this with my brother now then later. I could really use his advice right now."

"For now try to get more rest and save the battle story for the mead hall,"Farkas said.

alea nodded,"We all want to hear about your journey, especially Vilkas."

She nudged Vilkas with her elbow who sent her a glare as I giggled.

"Okay, I can't wait to share,"I smiled brightly.

"Alright alright,"Alea said."It's time colette gets some rest, we will see her mostly tomorrow."

I nodded a bit as Farkas and Alea started to make their way out, but Vilkas stay behind for a few seconds, he seemed to have a slightly worried look.

"Is something wrong?"I spoke first.

He ran his hands through his dark hair,"well you missed a great deal while you were gone."

I raised my brows,"really? care to tell me?"

"First of all kodlak died from a silverblood raid,"he said lowly."We had to go to the temple of ysgramor to free him from his wolf blood, so he could travel to sovngarde. Before he left he made your brother the new harbinger."

My eyes widened a bit,"wow that's such an honor."

"Indeed, "he slightly smiled."But I am more concerned with the both of you. He has been very worried for you, but refuses to admit it to anyone."

I nodded,"... I see, I guess he's still mad from the last time then, I wish I could settle this once and for all. I miss my big brother."

"I know...but the damn nord is a stubborn one,"he joked.

I chuckled,"I know he is, but I really do miss him...I could use his guidance right now."

After we exchange a few more words he left the temple, to follow his brother and aela outside, meanwhile I sat in the bed, mostly in my thoughts about my brother. We didn't part on good terms and he probably wasn't going to be happy to see me. He was the one that thought my dangerous adventures were meaningless and that killing the world eater was even a worse idea. He feared for my safety I know that for sure, but when I left to go back to the greybeards he didn't approve and we fought when I left. I didn't really want him to hate me forever because we are family and he's the only family I have, so today I was finally going to settle things between us. I could use another person to keep my secret and give me a little of guidance on my dumb decision.
