After a moment he nodded and a small grin formed on his lips,"it took you long enough to recognize me, dovahkiin or. . .did you like what you see?"

I felt heat climb up to my cheeks oddly, while he grinned more at the look on my face, but sighed and gave him an unamused looked.

"Well it certainly is you,"I muttered while I went to my satchel to take out a minor healing potion so I didn't waste magical energy for a minor wound.

"Are you not going to show me a gesture of kindness after saving your life?"he said in a husky voice as his grin turned into a frown. "Because believe me I did think about leaving you there to die, and I almost did. without you I can do as I please."

Taking off the cork to the small bottle I listened to his words and rolled my eyes a little at the last thing he said as I quickly drinked the bottle. It's bitter taste climbing down my throat almost made me shudder and I tossed the bottle away at one of the body's. I had to admit I was a little mad these bandits got me so easily, but there was one question on my mind to counter Alduin's words.

"Then why did you save me,"I muttered, making a little eye contact. "If you could have so easily left me to die, then why did you come to my aid?"

Alduin didn't say anything and was quiet for a good while, with his head to the side. he looked to almost be thinking, but at the same time it seemed he was arguing with himself by the look he was giving to the wall. He never did answer my question, though I could tell he didn't know the answer to it, so I left it alone and grabbed the satchel in my fingers, walking over to where my armor laid and worked with getting them on. unfortunately it wasn't morning and was still the middle of the night, but I wasn't going to rest with a bunch of corpses. After I took my battle ax and sheathed it on my back i walked passed Alduin to exit the cave.

"Well it looks like we wont be staying here,"I sighed as I went to my horse that was still where I left it. "There may be an inn we can stay at for the time being, besides I was getting tired of the hard ground."

"What we are going to stay with such people?"Alduin frowned more, not liking the idea.

I hooked up the satchel to the horse, slightly ignoring his dissatisfaction, "would you prefer to sleep out in the open and get attacked, besides it's not all that bad. Plus is more cozy."

I heard him growl in the background as I took the horse by the reins after unhooking the wagon, which I wasn't going to need anymore since I have no supplies and barely enough money for another load of supplies. For now I only have to get the things I need, until I can get the money again. Last time I checked the coin purse I had enough for an inn and some food and maybe a few things I may need like , potions, and such. Besides, if I didn't have enough I had other ways, such as doing bounties or asking the innkeeper for rumors. I always like a little gossip even if it was not so important.

Alduin huffed while I started to pull the horses rein in a different direction, since I was already awake I might as well walk and the celestial lights tonight was always whimsical and fun to watch sometimes, especially on clear nights like now. It made me wonder what it would be like to touch the colors in the sky just once, to feel it's flow between my fingers.

odahviing was right, the more I look at the sky I have grown to crave that feel of the wind in my hair. I wonder what it would be like to have a dovah's wings?

I felt the conor's of my lips curve into a small smile, making alduin look at me with a confused look.

"I do not understand how you are able to smile, when you almost got killed not to long ago and injured, "he muttered calmly as he slightly looked at me.

I only shrugged, "so? I have grown accustomed to such dangers, I'm just taking the time to admire the beauty of the night."

I heard alduin slightly chuckle, "you truly have the dovah's blood."

I was almost suprised because it was almost a compliment from him, but smiled anyway as we walked.

"odahviing said I would grown envious of a dovah's wings after he took me to skuldafn. He was right of course and I don't mind keeping my feet on the ground, but sometimes I get a craving ever since that day,"I explained. "Sometimes being dragonborn has it's. . . . disadvantages."

Alduin grunted at the mention of ohdahviing as I got out my map that I always carry around. I made a habit if marking the places I come across during my travels, just so I knew where I was going. Using my finger I trailed the cave location to the closest place, which was dragon bridge. I'm positive they had an inn, so after looking at the map I put it away. Alduin looked at me with a curious glance.

"what are you doing?"he asked with curiosity in his voice.

"just finding my direction, we will go to dragon bridge,"I informed as I tugged a little at the horses reins. "It's the closest and I need supplies away. The inn isn't that bad, I'm really tired and need some rest."

"maybe you should have been more alert,"alduin said as a snarky comment, most likely because I was making him go to an inn for a night.

"I would have if I wasn't healing you for the past two days,"I slightly snapped back. "honestly these travels will be so much better if you lighten up a little. Bandits are all over skyrim."

I looked forward, while we walked, but after my comment he was silent again, except for a growl he did before it went quiet. I wondered if he was ever going to get along with me, but then again he is a dragon. It seems it was going to take a bit for him to get comfortable or use to getting treated like a mortal.
