*****end of flashback*****************

I shivered at the cold mountain as felt myself get Goosebumps. I finally made it back to the throat of the world in good time after asking the greybeards of their opinion of me killing Paarthurnax. I should have known they didn't want me to do it, but I wasn't going to anyway. Besides I have more important matters to discuss with Paarthurnax about Alduin and learning the dragonrend shout, since I got the scroll.

Reaching to the throat of the world I shivered at the colder air that surrounded me the higher I got. I was never much fond of the cold, that's why I mostly lived out in Whiterun which is a peaceful city I may add. I haven't been their for quite sometime though after all of this dragonborn stuff began. Since then I have been busy with many things with the blades and then miraak started to cause havoc somewhere else from the black books.

I don't remember the time I actually had time to myself for once, or sat down to have a nice cup of mead by the fire. Smiling at the peaceful thought Paarthurnax came into view, perched on the word wall, patiently waiting. I walked up to him in normal movements, as the old dragon noticed me. Paarthurnax looked down to me looking impressed as I took out the elder scroll.

"You have it. The kel. Tiid kreh qalos. Time shudders at it's touch. there is no question. you are doom-driven. kogaan akatosh. The very bones of the earth are at your disposal. go then. fulfill your destiny. Take the Scroll to the Time-wound. Do not delay. Alduin will be coming he cannot miss the signs,"His voice boomed that it made the sky echo.

Maybe it was best to ask him after I fulfil this last quest, since I'm so short on time, so nodding at him I went to the time wound. Taking a breath as I stood in the snow I held up the elder scroll with a breathe out and opened the scroll. Before I knew it my vision was blinded by bright light that flashed in my eyes to reveal something else.

Now before me the sky was dark and everything looked more ancient. before I could question where everyone was I saw three nords run up the mountain and I now noticed the dead bodies of dragons scattered everywhere. Soon even Alduin followed in pursuit as I stayed and listened to their battle and conversation carefully waiting for the dragonrend shout.

Once I got what I wanted another flash of light blinded me for a second, and once my vision cleared I saw Paarthurnax take off into the sky while I tried to regain my surroundings. Looking up I caught a flash of black in the sky, until it stopped above me. The midnight dragon flashed his red eyes at me.

"Bahloki nahkip sillesejoor. My belly is full of the souls of your fellow mortals, Dovahkiin. Die now and await your fate in Sovngarde!" I heard his deep voice echo in the sky.

Paarthurnax though interfered as he face Alduin,"lost funt. you are too late, Alduin! Dovahkiin! Use Dragonrend, if you know it!"

I took a deep breath as Alduin went after Paarthurnax, but he didn't leave me behind, instead he called a shout in his voice. The clouds started to circulate slowly until firey meteors came raging down to the ground, aiming for me. First I had to do something about that sky before I die from fire before Alduin. I knew of a perfect shout that would cancel out this meter shower. Rolling away from the meters I looked up at the sky with my determined eyes.

"Lok-Vah-Koor!"my voiced carried into the sky, slowly stopping his meter shower.

Panting from the shout I tried to locate where alduin is flying. Feeling the ground shake for a second it sounded as if someone landed.

"Dovahkiin! use dragonred now!"paarthurnax called from the word wall.

locating the dark dragon I took a breath.

"Joor-Zah-Frul!"i shouted into alduin.

blue light surrounded him and forced him to land in front of me as I took out my ebony battle axe ready to defend myself against his jaw that snapped at me. Swinging my axe in powerful attacks I tried to end this as fast as I can. Paarthurnax stayed where he was knowing this was only my fight as I swung my axe swiftly. It was a hard battle, but with the shout with me I was able to almost defeat him, but before I could make the finishing blow he flew back up looking down on us.

"Meyz mul, Dovahkiin. you have become strong. but I am al-du-in, firstborn of akatosh! Mulaagi zok lot! I cannot be slain here, by you or anyone else! You cannot prevail against me. I will outlast you or anyone else! You cannot prevail against me. I will outlast you mortal!" Alduin shouted at me as he took off back into the sky.

I cursed under my breath, but panted as I place my battle axe back on my back. It was ashamed he ran away, but I sat down in the snow attempting to catch my breath as I saw Paarthurnax land beside me.

"He escaped, damn it,"I mumbled under my breathe.

"Lot Krongrah, you truly have the voice of a dovah. Alduin's allies will think twice after this victory,"Paarthurnax said.

I turned to him with a exhausted sigh,"But he escaped, so I need to know where he could have gone."

Paarthurnax nodded,"Yes...one of his allies could tell us. motmahus...but it will not be so easy to...convince one of them to betray him."

I cracked a small smile,"When is anything easy, going into danger seems to be a hobby of mine."

He chuckled,"Perhaps the hofkahsejun- the palace in whiterun....dragonsreach. It was originally built to house a captive dovah."

"I never knew that,"I mumbled.

"But a fine place to trap one of alduin's allies, hmm?"he said as if he had a smirk on his scaley face.

I thought for a moment, but remembered the jarl. I know how balgruuf might act in this suggestion especially since he thinks about his people so much.

"I don't think the jarl will agree with me on this one,"I said as I rested my hand on my hip.

He hummed,"Hmm, yes. but your su'um is strong. I do not doubt that you can convince him of the need."

I nodded,"I will see what I can do. thank you Paarthurnax"

"Save travels dovahkiin."

Turned to leave I descended off the throat of the world, but before I left I had to ask him about how the blades wants me to kill him. Luckily he wasn't surprised about how they don't trust him and thought it was wise. He explained to me how he had to overcome his evil nature with great effort, but did wanted to go back. Though he did give me something to think about long and hard about the last thing he said about being born good or overcoming your evil nature. In my beliefs you aren't really born good, but it depends on life experiences. Everything still surprises me even after what I've been through. I told him that I wasn't going to kill him and he seemed to appreciate it because if he did turn on me then I think he would know I can defeat him in battle. He helped me to much for me to get rid of him and I do think of him as a friend.

Walking back to the greybeards they asked many questions when I returned and I had to explain to them everything and were surprised, yet not shocked at all by my efforts to stop Alduin. After a bit I gave them my thanks and left the temple to travel back down the stairs with my horse waiting for me outside.
