"Karma! Oh god, stay with me!" I dropped to the ground next the the red head, his head was bleeding and there were visible injuries on his chest. I shakily pulled my phone out from my pocket and dialed the number for Mr Karasuma.

"Hello?"

"Mr Karasuma please help! Karma's head is bleeding and he's still breathing and I don't know what to do!" I was crying as I held Karma to me. Trying as best I could to keep his eyes open. "C'mon Karma please stay awake!"

"Annabelle? Where are you?"

"We're outside Kagura park please just get here quickly!"

The other end of the phone went dead and I held Karma to me. "It's going to be okay Karma, stay with me." I carefully pulled him up to standing level and walked him to the park bench. Karma's eyes were almost closed entirely, but he tried to keep them open. "Annabelle..?" I placed him on the bench and laid him down carefully. "Okay, it's going to be okay." I was still crying softly when Karma slowly closed his eyes and Mr Karasuma pulled up and jumped out of the car.

It was late when we got to Mr Karasuma's house, we rushed in with Karma being carried against Mr Karasuma's chest. "Get my first aid kit!"

"Okay, ah-"

"It's in my kitchen cabinet. Just hurry up, and grab a towel!"

After Mr Karasuma stitched in the side of Karma's head, he bandaged up his cuts and other injuries. Then turned to me. "What happened?" The whole situation played out in my head, bit by bit I felt my stomach turn again and again. "Ah, I-I don't know..." It wasn't that I didn't want to tell him but, it's Karma's privacy that I had to think of. "Okay, well I'll call someone to pick you up." I nodded and glanced back at Karma, he was asleep.

"I thought he was dying." I breathed out and sat on the end of the bed. Mr Karasuma dampened a towel and wiped the remaining blood off of Karma. "Well, if you hadn't of called me he would've bled out, so he should be thankful for that."

About an hour after things had settled down, I picked up my phone. "Almost a million missed calls from my dad." I pressed the dial button.

"Annabelle?!"

"Dad, I'm so sorry I-"

"Sorry? Sorry?! I have been looking for you all night! I've called the cops and they told me that I was a drunk looking for a fight! You think you're getting away with this then you're dreaming! Where are you!?"

I sighed and contemplated my options, after a few seconds I sighed and put the phone back to my ear. "Sorry dad."

"Sorry for what?! When you get home you-" I shut down my phone so I wouldn't get anymore calls from him and that automatically hung up. 'Was that your parents?" I nodded as Mr Karasuma walked out of the room. "What were you doing near the park at almost 9 pm?" For some reason, Mr Karasuma reminded me of a father. "Oh, I could hear something and got curious. N-never found out what it was though." I covered up my excuse with a lie. "Right, well I'll take you home while he's sleeping. Talk to your father if you like."

"O-okay."

================================================================================

Mr Karasuma explained to my father that I had saved a boys life. That was all he said. My father understood and thanked Mr Karasuma greatly for bringing me home at around two in the morning.

There was still some questions left in my mind over night. Why was that man beating into Karma? Why was Karma there in the first place? Surely that man couldn't be...no.
