Korosensei had brought us all back to the classroom and decided to give us a study period until we found Karma. Okuda, Nakamura and Kayano were looking around the campus and Nagisa, Sugino and Maehara went into the forest. I was dragged along with Okuda and their group.
"Why am I here right now?" Okuda had hold of my wrist and was dragging me around our little pathetic looking campus. "BECAUSE we're looking for Karma. You want to find him, right?" I sighed dramatically and glanced around at the empty field. "Well, the boys are walking back inside now, how about I go take one last look in the forest and you guys try the main campus?"
All three girls nodded in unison after looking at one another. "Okay." I turned towards the forest and started walking, hoping to find some kind of sign of Karma.
As I walked around the trees hopelessly looking around, I came across one of the dirt paths that were obviously made by the others some time ago. Probably when we were playing cops and robbers. Suddenly, I saw a flash of colour in the trees nearby. "Karma?" I took a breath in and leapt into the tree in front of me, pulling myself up the branch and regaining my balance.
Slowly, I walked around the trees branches and saw another flash of colour. "I'm not chasing you." I spoke coldly towards the red head, and suddenly he was lying upside down in front of me.
"Why are you out here looking for me, Annabelle?" Karma's hair was hanging upside down, his cheeks were pink and he was particularly red in the eyes. "I was dragged along." I noticed that Karma had taken off his button up and swapped it for his jacket now. His scar clearly visible. "So, who dragged you here?" The red head swung around the branch and stood in front of me. His hair was messy and his cheeks were wet. Almost like he was crying.
"Ah... So why did you storm off earlier?" I changed the subject quickly as Karma went silent and averted his eyes from my direction. He shoved his hands in his pockets and rolled his eyes. "Ha, like I'd tell you." I sighed and jumped backwards off the branch and onto the ground, landing wobbly and slightly off balance.
"Well, I can wait."
"You'd be here a while." Karma stepped onto a nearby branch and disappeared fro my sight. I saw the tree shake slightly indicating he had just sat down. Glancing around and sighing, an idea flashed across my mind. I walked up to the tree and shook it furiously.
Karma fell out with a THUD.
"What the hell!" The boy flipped himself upright and shot me a glare. "Look, I was just trying to get you to talk to me." Karma huffed and stood on both feet, his eyes still narrowed at me. "I'm leaving now so...goodbye!" Karma strolled away quickly, avoiding me at all costs. Leaving me in the forest.

It occurred to me after I got back to class that Karma wasn't coming back to class, leaving me to answer the question that majority of the class were waiting to ask.
"Did you find him?"
"N-no..."
I felt all eyes turn on me as I sat back in my seat, faking my exhaustion. "Well class, I suppose that you can all be dismissed for now." One at a time, students left the classroom, leaving me sitting in the back, next to Karma's empty desk.
"Annabelle, you can leave if you like." Korosensei slithered up to me slowly and placed a tentacle on my shoulder. I swept it off with my left hand and stood up. "Yeah, I was just leaving." I shuffled my stuff into my bag and quickly walked out of the room, down the hill and out of the main campus.
By the time I got home, it was about half past seven. My father was in the kitchen, cleaning the dishes. "I'm home."
"Hey Annabelle, how was school?" I sat down at the table in front of the wrapped plate of food left for me. "Ah, it was good." I hesitated before answering, making sure not to say anything that could jeopardize my situation. Then I started eating the food in front of me, clearly starving.
About half hour after dinner, I heard a loud bang, maybe a few doors down. "Dad, I'm going to the park down the road." My father nodded silently as I left the doorway and slipped my sneakers on outside the door and started walking down the path.
As I reached the park a few minutes away, I heard another loud bang from across the road. "I wonder what's going on around there.." I sighed quietly and sat down on a nearby bench. Suddenly, I saw an older man leave the nearby house making loud noises. Held by the collar of his shirt, was a young boy.
The man threw the boy to the ground and beat into him with an empty glass bottle, over and over and over. The boy was rolled over to his side and kicked into repeatedly. The man lifted his hand and stabbed the boy in the chest.
I watched in shock as the boy was beaten into, helpless and defenseless. I couldn't help in any way. I didn't notice anything to with appearances until the man went back inside.
Then I saw the red hair.

I know it's not the same but I couldn't remember very much from the chapter.
Pretty sure it's also shorter by a couple hundred words but I'll make up for it in chapter five <3
