Chapter 23

L-Chan's POV(me)-------------(Time skip to next day)----------------

Today, I'm gonna hang out with Serafina. Then tomorrow, Wither and I will chill. I teleport inside and everyone drops what their doing. "LAUREL!" Sylvie exclaims. "What?" I ask, a cheshire cat grin on my face. "Don't do that!" she exclaims. "Ok, ok" I said. "Anyway, you wanted to hang out with me today, right LSans?" Sera asked. "Yup, and you and Wither can just call me L-Chan." I respond. "Ok L-chan. I thought we could stop at a bakery, then head to the park. Sound good?" she asks. "Yep" I tell her. We bid goodbye to Sylvie and Wither and head out.

I teleport us to the bakery. As we were standing in line I say,"So Serafina, how has living with Sylvie been?" I ask her. "Wait...you're the author. Shouldn't you know?" she asks in return. "Well yes, but the Reader-Chans don't know. So I have to ask." I explains. She makes an'Oh!' face and says, "It's interesting. " she simply says. "Hey, L-Chan?" Serafina starts. I hum in response. "Why?" she asks. I was very confused, and I knew that my expression showed it, cause she then continued. "Why do you update and write at 2 am? Why do you push yourself to write and draw and watch anime? Why do deprive yourself of sleep? Sometimes, you get enough sleep, but other times, you're practically living off coffee. Why do you do that to yourself? Why are you so weird? What did the kids in public school do to you?".

"Well 1," I begin,"I am brainstorming ideas and writing until times around 2 am. 2.I do that because stuff needs to get done, and I like to procrastinate a lot. 3. That's just how I am, and that's just my personality. And lastly, kids were assholes to me. They just bullied me like there was no tomorrow. Disintegrated me.".

We got to the front of the line and ordered our food. I got a chocolate chip muffin, while she got a strawberry muffin. There was an awkward silence as we walked to the park, after we got our food. We found a bench to sit on and then Sera decided to speak up. "I'm sorry I asked so much. My big sister side came out. I'm worried, 'cause you push yourself so hard, to where you're always tired and have to fake energy. Then you act as if everything is fine. You're stressing out. And that's not even adding to the fact that you-". I cover her mouth, eyes widened in shock, before she can continue. "I-I didn't know that you knew" I said, voice hushed.

"I've known since about a month ago. I won't say anymore. Sorry" she said. "I-It's fine." I respond. "Besides, you forget that I am an actual big sister. I have 2 younger sisters. I can somewhat understand.". "That's right!" she said suddenly. "You are! ". We both laugh and then begin to eat our muffins, while they were still hot.

Sera's POV(Sorry for sudden change)-------------------------------

As we were eating I decided to sneak a look at the brown-haired female. She was very interesting. If anyone knew how she was pushing herself, they would kill her, bring her back, and force her to get some sleep. She was starting to get bags under her eyes. She was more than my creator. I like how she knows who she is, and that she'll never change for anyone. It's a trait that I've always admired. I've never liked to admit it, but I hated knowing that I was not an actual sister. I'm jealous that author-chan is.

"Are you ok, Sera?" she asks concerned. "Yep. Just lost in my thoughts is all." I reply. "I get that." she simply responds. We continue eating in silence until we finished. "There's not a-" I begin to say, but then a garbage can appears long enough to throw our garbage away, and then it disappeared. "How?" I ask. "I control this universe." she stated, as serious as can be. I was shocked to say the least.

We were walking back home when two drunk guys came up to us, saying,"Beautiful gals such as yourselves shouldn't be alone at sunset." "Um Sera, I don't know why, but my author powers aren't working". L-Chan calls.

We were screwed. They put their hands on our throats and lifted us up. I couldn't summon my magical motorbike, cause it's verbal. We both shut our eyes, prepared for what could happen.

....

But nothing did. "Are you two alright?" we heard a male voice ask. We opened our eyes to see who I assume to be Alex, based off of Sylvie's description of him. We also saw a male with 1 blue eye and 1 grey eye. His hair was split, half red and half white. They were both around L-Chan's age. "Yeah we're fine. Thanks Alex and..." L-Chan's voice trailed off, not knowing the other guys name. "Oh! I'm terribly sorry miss. My name is Sho-Shawn."

Laurel(Me) POV------------------(Sorry for sudden change)

"That's a lie and we both know it." I replied. "Ok. You caught me. It's Shoto.". "Well, thanks Shoto.". "Are you perhaps Laurel?" he asks. "Uh...yeah. Why?" I ask. "Alex told me that he had a bad feeling. I was visiting him, seeing as we were childhood friends, but haven't talked in a while. He asked me to come with him, and so I did. I must say, seeing someone with two different eyes colors, like me is interesting. Alex told me all about your eyes. Don't worry though. I don't find them beastly or ugly. I actually find them to be really beautiful." he compliments.

I blushed a little. He chuckled, seeing my reaction. "Alex and your friend have left. I'll walk you home. I have an idea of where it is. Also, just being here can strain your powers. Use them too much and they can stop. Just for a day though. Don't worry." he tells me. "Thanks."" I reply. "Hey, do you like Alex?" he asks. "I do, but as a best friend." I explain. Shoto makes an 'Oh' face.

When we got back home, I said goodbye to everyone but the two males who saved us.I turn to them saying,"Alex, Shoto. Thank you. I was really scared." I give Alex a hug and do the same to Shoto. "No problem Laurel" Alex said. "Yes, please don't worry." Shoto adds. Well, I have to go. Bye guys." i said. Them waving goodbye was the last thing I saw before appearing at home.

Shoto's POV

She's kinda cute. We'll have to talk in another chapter.
