Excitement overruled all other emotions I had that morning. If I can only drag time, eliminate traffic congestion, or fly a chopper to see her early in the morning at the campus, I would. But I am just Tres of the Palmer brothers— just no one else... just a handsome boy in love.
But that feeling automatically evaporated in thin air when I saw her talking to the oversized-headed jerk, Carter Andrews.

"Ba't kayo magkausap non?" Sita ko sa kanya nang makalapit ako.

"Ano'ng drama naman 'yan?" Mataray na sagot niya. "Besides, I can talk to anyone I want."

I can feel my jaw clenching badly out of frustration. Why is she acting like as if last night never happened?

"Mad—"

"Palmer, hindi kita boyfriend. And even if you are, that won't change anything. I'd still talk to whoever I want."

"I'm sorry, okay." Naasar na saad ko. Kahit ayokong magsorry, ginawa ko nalang para 'wag ng humaba pa ang usapan. "I just can't help feeling jealous." It was meant to be a whisper but she seemed to have heard it. Tinaasan niya ako ng kilay.

"Look Maddy, I like you a lot." I admitted after feeling the urge that she has to know.

"Great, because the feeling is mutual." She answered smirking. "I like myself a lot too."

Damn. She's so good at causing my heart to break.

"Nakakatawa ang mukha mo. Tsk." Sabi niyang umiiling pa. "He's just inviting me to this party. Alam mo na, it's year end and christmas vacation's upcoming." Pagkukwento niya. "Wag ka ng bumusangot diyan. Para kang timang e. Selos mo 'yang mukha mo."

"Hindi ba dapat ako magselos? Gusto mo 'yong lalaking 'yon e. Kung sana kasi, tumingin ka lang ng maayos, hindi lang siya 'yong makikita mo. You'll see he's not even worth it and maybe if you just look, you'd find me."

"Ugh. Tres, where's that poetic tongue coming from?" She asked in an amused tone. Sumimangot ako para pagtakpan ang pagkaasar na nararamdaman sa kanya. "Para kang timang talaga. Sige na, papasok na ako sa klase ko."

"Wait." Anas ko sabay hawak ng kamay niya.

"Palmer, ano na naman?" Mataray na asik niya, nakaarko na naman ang kilay. Binawi niya rin ang kamay niyang hinawakan ko. Napakamot nalang ako ng ulo. Hindi ko kasi alam kung paano ko sasabihin ang nasa isip ko nang hindi siya nagagalit.

"Tres? May klase pa ako."She reminded, sounding impatient.

"Don't tell me you'll attend that party." I finally uttered out.

She smirked and it's damn irritating me.

"Well babe, I'm going." Nang-aasar ba siya? Kinurot pa niya ang pisngi ko matapos akong ngitian. "Bye. I have to go."

Nakakainis naman oh. Ugh. Sa halip na magmukmok hanggang sa tuluyang mabaliw na, I decided to just show up in the office, help Ansel who is acting strange lately and Harper who's really happy about me and Maddy.

"Oh great. You showed up." Salubong ni Harper pagpasok ko ng opisina.

"I can't make you miss me. And this place needs something pleasant to the eyes."

"Wow. Ang kayabangan mo talaga, panalong-panalo. Kaya ka siguro hindi type ni Selosa."

"Type ako non. Pakipot lang 'yon." Naiinis na sambit ko habang lihim ko siyang iniisip. You're driving me crazy Maddy. What are you doing to me?

"You know what dude, you might not believe me but really, I already know you so well." She said sounding like a confident genius. "Ba't ka badtrip?"
