CHAPTER 4

ELLA'S POV

"Hey" Nathan greeted.

"Hey" I smiled.

"So, how's summer?" he asked.
"Uh, great! Well I spent my entire summer staying at home and-" I was cut off when my phone rang and when I look at the caller ID, it was Toby..

"Hey tobs, what makes you call?"

"Meet me at the yellow bench at our school park please, bring no one." He said in a husky voice.

"Wait why?"

Wait. What? What happened to him? I'm starting to get worried about him. Then suddenly I stood up. "I have to go" I said in not such a harsh way.

"Where are you going? Class starts in less than 30 minutes" Sammy said.

"I'll go get my schedule" I replied.

"I'll come with you." Nathan insisted.

"No. I mean no, Toby's there waiting for me already. So yeah, we'll just see eachother later at break. Bye!" I smiled then ran off.

Where is he? Yellow bench? Oh I see him and he's fine? but sad? what?

I came near him and sat beside him.

"Toby? Why did you just call me and meet me here all of a sudden?" I asked.

"She's here." He said as he frowned.

"Who she?"

"Liz"

"care to explain who's this Liz is?" I asked curiously.

"Liziel Angela Franta. My childhood and first bestfriend" he said in a very serious tone. I never saw Toby like this before.

"oh" was all I said. I really don't know who's that Liz girl is, so I don't even know what to say.

"Liz, we've been bestfriends since diapers. She's everything to me until when I knew-"

"care to explain it later? Class will start in about 10 minutes and I still need to get my schedule and locker number" I cut him off as I was also getting worried to be late at my first class on this first day.

"oh okay, I'll come with you" he said

"ofcourse you have to" then I grab his arm and pull him to walk after me directly to the principals office.

"what's your first class?" Toby asked. "uhm. Biology?" then he smiled. "Same here, guess we should go and walk together to our first class, shall we?" he offered a hand and I gladly accept it "We shall!"

I enter the room first as I try to find seats. When I spotted two vacant seats I tried to call for Toby but he was standing at the door frozen and starring at something or...someone.

"Toby!" As I call gor him. Then he snap out. "Oh. coming"

"What's up with you?" I asked while looking around checking if the teacher alreadu arrive.

"She's here." then he looked down.

"Where?"

"First row second person from the right." he says still looking down.

"That blond hot chic girl? With a really short skirt?" I asked.

"No. Second person"

"Oh. That straight dirty blond hair girl wearing eye glasses?"

"yes" then he breathe heavily and right when the teacher came into the room.

So she's Liz huh? Toby's ex bestfriend? Well, she's actually pretty. With her glasses, I can tell maybe she's smart but the glasses really suits on her. Now I feel insecure about my own self.
