CHAPTER 5

ELLA'S POV

After we grabbed starbucks, Toby and I walked home and we went directly to his house.

"Mom! I'm home! Ella's with me!" Toby yelled as we enter their house and he suddenly ran upstairs to change.

"Oh. Hi sweetie." Mrs. McDonough smiled then gave me a hug.

"Hi mommy Joan." I smiled and hugged back. Yes, I call Mrs. McDonough 'mom' and Toby, Riley and Connor also calls my mom 'mom'.

"How's school?" She asked.

"Totally fine." I replied and smiled.

"Oh. How about you join us for dinner? and tell your mom to join too." She offered.

"That'll be great mommy Joan. I'll just call mom."

"Great. I'll be at the kitchen if you need anything, okay?"

"Okay mommy Joan and thanks."

"Sure." She smiled and headed back to the kitchen.

Then I sat down at the couch and called mom to come here at the McDonough's to have dinner and she was okay with it.

As I put my phone down I saw a smiley Riley coming down stairs.

"Hey Ellanie." He greeted.

"Hi Ri-Guy." I smiled.

"Where's Toby?" He asked.

"At his room, maybe taking a shower." I replied.

"Oh." was all he replied as he sat down beside me.

"Riley?"

"Yes Ella?"

"Can I ask you something?"

"Spill it."

"Do you know Liziel Franta?"

"Uhm. Why?"

"I wanna know about her and Toby."

"So uh. Okay." He breathe heavily. "Liz is Toby's bestfriend before. Their friendship broke a year before you moved here in Florida. They we're inseparable, no one could ever seperate them. Liz is a sweet girl, very nice, and also super smart. But then- Are you really sure you're comfortable with this?" He stopped and asked.

"Yes. yes. Continue." as I insist for him to continue.

"Liz was accepted in a highly standard school in Mexico. Her parents forced her to study there eventhough Liz doesn't really want to. One of her reason is that she really wanted to stay was because of Toby. But when Toby knew-"

"What are you two seriously talking about?" Toby interrupted as he went down the stairs.

"Nothing. Just nothing" I replied and feeling kinda nervous hoping he didn't heard a thing.

"Sup, bro" Riley greeted but Toby raised an eyebrow.

"What?" I asked and Toby looked at me with serious face.

"Seriously, I was just telling her a ghost story." Riley blurted out.

"Riley, you're scared of ghost. Why would you even tell stories to Ella about ghosts?" Toby asked as I laughed really hard.

"I'd got a little interested into some ghost stories. Okay? And Ella, stop laughing, it isn't funny." Riley pouted.

"Aw. Cute wittle wiley is scared of ghost." Then I pinched his cheeks

"Haha. Very funny." Riley glared at me.

'knock knock'

There's a sudden knock on the door. "I'll get it!" Toby shouted as he ran to the door.
