Best Of Friends (Before You Exit / Toby McDonough fanfic)

CHAPTER 32

TOBY'S POV

So it's monday and we're not required to attend school but only for student councils and some students who are preparing the school's stadium for the dance on wednesday.

As I woke up and decided to call Ella if she's already awake but she didn't answer, maybe she's still sleeping. So I just textted her to call me whenever she's already awake.

I got up on my own as the clock reads 7 am. I fixed myself as I wore some sweatpants, a sweatshirt then my sneakers. I went downstairs and found mom. "Where are you going Tobius?" mom asked. "I'll just go for a jog. Bye mom!" I replied and she nodds then I quickly went out.

I jogged all around our village and after a 40 minutes jog I went to starbucks and just hang for a while. As I took a sip into my peppy mocha I started to wonder why Ella's still not calling me. Wow she sleeps a lot. But yesterday she slept early because she said she was tired and she can't come at my house.

I stood up and ordered another cup and an oreo cheese cake for Ella. I'll just surprised her when she woke up.

I started to walk up to Ella's house. I knocked on their door and Mommy Melanie answered. "Oh. Hey Toby" she greeted. "Hi mom, where's Ella?" I asked. "Come in. She's upstairs, still sleeping" I smiled as I went in. "I'll just head upstairs?" I asked. "Sure sure" she nodds.

As I went inside her room, yep she's still sleeping. Maybe she's still tired. I put the cup and paper bag in her study table and I sat beside her in her bed.

I looked into her face and I swear she's so cute even when she sleeps.

As I kept on starring at her, hope I don't look like a creep here. She started to mumble my name.

"No-n-no" "Toby.." she cried and I came much closer to her.

"Ella!" I said as I saw tears started to flowed down her face. "Ella! Ella!"

Then finally she opens her watery eyes. I helped her sat up as she cries into my chest.

"Toby?" she asked confuse but I just hugged her tight. "I- I- thought your- you're go- one"

"It's just a nightmare. I'll never leave you" I hugged her even tight and I wiped her tears off.

"I love you" I said within deep inside my heart.

"I love you too" she replied as I tried to calm her down.

As she stops from sobbing I helped her lay down again and I also layed beside her in her bed. We looked at eachother's eyes "Please don't ever leave me" she said. "I will never, never gonna leaved you" I replied then she smiled and started to shut her eyes.

I don't want to leaved her and I don't want another nightmare will make her cry. I started to close my eyes and started to drift off to sleep also.

ELLA'S POV

My eyes open as Toby's face is very near to mine. I just smiled and started to sit up. I look at the time and it says 12. I wanted to lay down again and sleep beside him but it was already noon. I look back to him as he started to open his eyes too.

"Good morning, Toby" I greet. "Good morning my princess" he smiled while rubbing his eyes.

"oh! I forgot" he look the other way and suddenly stood up. "what are you looking for?" I asked. "I brought you starbucks before I came here" he pointed my study table. "maybe mom took it and put it in the refrigerator" he nodds as I stood up and went over him.

He pulled me into a hug, a very tight one and kisses the top of my head. "I will never leave you, never" he said and I looked up. "Thank you" I said. "For what?" he asked. "for everything. For being there whenever I needed someone" I said and he smiled then kisses my forehead.

He released me from his grip and we started to head downstairs.

We walked to the kitchen to found mom in her laptop watching some cooking shows. "mom" I said. "Oh, hey you two" she greeted still facing her laptop. "Toby brought starbucks earlier and-

"oh yeah. It's in the refrigerator. I took it and just placed it there after I saw you two cute couple are sleeping" she chuckles. "ugh mom. We're not a couple" I said as I went to the refrigerator and Toby followed me. "But we could be" Toby said loud enough so mom could hear. "See! I swear to God Ellanie, you and Toby will make a very perfect couple!" she said looking at both of us and I just glared at Toby. "What?" he asked near to laugh but I just walked away infront of him and just brought my starbucks with me.

"Ella! Wait" Toby said as he came running towards me but I just heard my moms laugh. Uggh. What is wrong with my life.

I sat on the couch and he also sat beside me. I took a sip on my cup and just placed the oreo cheesecake on the table. "Hey" he said but I just ignore him. "Ella, I'm sorry" he said and I look at him. "what are you sorry for?" I asked. "I- I don't know" he replied. I just sigh because I don't want things to get more complicated. Maybe he's just too stupid that I very much wanted to be his girl.

Yes, we act like we're together but nothing is official and most of all we say that we love eachother but he never asked me.

"Ella?" he cut me off from my thoughts. "Yes?" I asked. "I have to get back home, I need to shower" he looks at me seriously but I just laughed and pinch his cheeks. "Okay. Go" I said and he stood up and hugged me one more time. "I'll be back, okay?" he said then I nodd and smiled.

After Toby went out, I took the oreo cheesecake and gave it to mom and head upstairs to take a shower also.
