CHAPTER 8

ELLA'S POV

I was waiting for Toby outside, while he was talking to Liz.

I was really getting curious of what's happening between them right now, so I peeked through the classroom's window and saw them both hugging and crying.

Well I think they're both okay now, but suddenly a tear fell down my eye. As I knew, I was getting hurt of what's happening.

What if their friendship will be like their past? What if Toby will left me and forget about me? What if I'll lose Toby?

What if's are flooding my mind. I don't know maybe I'm just overreacting. But why do I feel so selfish over Toby all of a sudden?

I started to walk away, but I bumped into someone. I looked up and saw Nathan.

"Ella" he said worriedly when he saw me crying.

"Why are you crying?" he asked.

"Nothing." Then I started wiping these tears.

"Something's up. Wanna talk about it?"

"Uhm. I'm sorry but I can't."

"Okay. Let's go." Then he pulled my arm.

"What. We're we going?"

"I'll treat you to starbucks. So shall we?" He smiled.

"Okay." I replied weakly.

We're at his car as he drove to starbucks. On the road I decided to text Toby to tell him that I'm hanging out with Nathan and he'll take me home later.

"Ella? Ellaaaaa...." Nathan called trying to get my attention.

"Yeah?"

"You're like thinking something deep. It's like you don't even hear me."

"I'm so sorry. It's just-"

"Just forget about it. You just need to chill and forget about those stuff."

"I'll try." I gave him a reassuring smile.

Then we went out of the car and went inside starbucks.

"Usual?" Nathan asked

"I'll just have the Choco Chip Cream." My usual was actually Peppermint Mocha just like the McDonough Brother's usual.

"Okay then. I'll grab the drinks then you just find some seats." Nathan said and I nod.

"Sure" I smiled

I searched for a vacant table then sat on it. Then right when Nathan came.

"So, you don't really want to talk about what happen?" He ask.

"I just can't. I'm sorry."

"It's fine. Let's just talk about something else." He smiled.

"Okay." I replied.

"Grande Chocolate Chip Cream for Ella & Nate." The barista called then Nathan stood up to get our drinks.

We chilled for a while and talked about some stupid stuff. I must say I'm enjoying hanging around with Nathan but it's still different when I'm with Toby.

NATHAN'S POV

When I saw Ella crying and even if she wouldn't tell me what happened I still knew what was going on but I just let go of it because she really doesn't want to talked about it.

This is just some of the few times I could hang out with Ella alone because where ever she goes Toby is always beside her or our friends are with us around.
