Chapter 13: Kings and Queens

Raven cooed quietly with her tiny fist in her mouth. Days turned weeks, and those weeks turned into months. But not a year. I clung onto her, waiting for Levi to come... he should be here soon. I sighed, but I was greeted with Raven's drool-covered fist on my cheek.

I chuckled, kissing her cheek. "Thanks, little one..."

"Miss me?" I looked up and see him, smirking. He looked... distant... and a scar went from his chin down to his collarbone. But his eyes sparked with happiness, seeing his little daughter. "So this is my daughter, huh?"

Walking towards him, I nodded. "Yeah... say hi, Raven." She simply cooed and wiped her drool on Levi's cheek.

He chuckles, kissing her forehead. "I'll hold her..." I nodded to him as he grabbed her and laughed. "She looks... like me..."

"Which I love, Levi. I grew... afraid." I looked down with guilt, feeling it weight down onto my shoulders. I have yet to tell him about... Erwin. The real reason why he was released from prison. I have to tell... but, what if he hates me for that? Erwin already took my job, my life... and I had nothing.

"Afraid? Hanji... tell me."

Sighing, I looked up to him, adjusting my fogged-up glasses. "C-Can we discuss it later? Please... I can't... not now."

He nods, "Alright then. Your apartment-"

"I have none. I've been staying with Nanaba for the past few months... I can explain it later. Are you still able to live where you used to live?"

"Come with me then, Hanji. I know it's not the best condition, but... we'll be together. Alright? And this little princess will have fun in my hands..." Raven cooed and reached up to him with her fist covered in her drool.

"Hanji... don't cry over it." Levi says gently as he carefully put Raven down inside her crib. "You did it for me,  and I don't blame you. I'm sorry you dealt with that bastard... and I'll make him pay."

I sighed with tears dripping down my face. My glasses were off to the side and I'm glad I didn't bother to have them on when I confessed what I did... but I kept crying. No matter what Levi said to say otherwise... it was still my fault. "No... I-I can't..."

Soon, I felt his lips against mine with his whole body brushing up against me. When I opened my eyes, I only saw his blurry figure. "Hanji, that's enough. As much as I hate the bastard for doing that to you... it wasn't your fault."

I groaned softly, rolling onto my side, continuing to cry. "It is my fault... I let him win."

His hand wiped my tears away and he kisses me once more. His other hand reached down to my pants and started to unzip. "Hanji, stop. Let me take away all your sadness for tonight, okay? I'll still be here..."

"O-Okay..." A smile crept onto my face. "Please... help take it away..."

Levi's POV

It must've been around 2 am or something because it was dark as hell. Turning to my side, I saw Hanji sleeping with the blanket pulled up halfway on her bare back. Chuckling, I kissed her cheek, careful to not wake her. "I'll be back..." I say softly to her as I got out of the bed.

I was dressed in plain black sweatpants and a black sweater. I stored a small gun with a muffler in my back pocket with a small pocketknife up my sleeve. Before leaving, I gently kissed Hanji again and walked towards Raven. I sighed softly as I saw her slumbering peacefully... she was, adorable. My own little creation I had... and I never saw her for almost a year. I never got to help with her... but now, I have my chance. All because Hanji had to listen to that bastard's words- blackmailed her. She was hopeless... and he used her. Even thinking of him made me angry, and I was glad I was doing what I can to force him back down.

From information I gathered from my time in prison, whatever Hanji said about Erwin and Geterson... they are the cause of the attacks when I was there. I sighed softly as I approached Erwin's room- all information I received from prison- and I readied myself for a bit of... payback.

Slowly pick-pocketing the door, I snuck myself to the room. My feet slowly walked across the glossy floor and creaked on the wooden floors. When I opened the door, I saw him on his bed, sleeping sound asleep. How could he sleep so soundly with his little crimes and get away with it? While Hanji suffered with Raven... someone had to pay- and it is best for Erwin to pay for everything.

I pulled out the small gun and carefully loaded it. The smallest noise woke Erwin up and he jolted awake. "Who are you?" He says as he scrambled out of bed and the light went on. "L-Levi?"

A smirk appeared when I aimed it at him. "Do you even care about Hanji or her child? Huh? Or do you like the use the people around you for your own pleasure? Because right now... you destroyed her."

"I destroyed her? We had a love connection... and you went and took her away by placing your own child into her!" He growled and moved towards me. I didn't want to fire yet... I want him to understand why I was doing this. 

"But then, you decided to force her to sleep with you... so she can have me back. You forced her to do things because you wanted her. She sacrificed all that for me... and you destroyed her. Hanji Zoe was destroyed because of you... so, pay for it all." I say before pulling it. "She's my queen."

I quickly made my way back to Hanji and Raven, seeing Raven already awake. She was standing in her crib, not making a sound. Confused, I looked towards Hanji, who was still sleeping.

"Baby..." I say gently, putting my weapons to the side and walked towards her. Shushing her, I carefully picked her up and kissed her cheek. She cooed loudly as her tiny hands grabbed and tugged on my hair. Chuckling, I kissed her again. "Were you waiting for me? Huh?"

She continued to coo again, but I heard ruffling behind me. When I turned, I saw Hanji slowly waking up. "L-Levi? W-Where were you?" She yawned as she walked over blindly. 

"Nothing, Hanji. Nothing for you to worry about. Got it?"

She sighed, leaning her head on my shoulder and brushed Raven's cheek. "I tried putting her down. But she got all fussy and when she got fussy... you were gone. When I thought she finally went to sleep... you're here. Honestly, I'm used to her being stubborn... she was like that when she was born- and then some."

"I won't leave in the middle of the night, okay? Okay? I promise..." I say, turning to her and kissing her on her lips. "I'll listen to you..."

"Thanks... can you... put her down to sleep? She seems... to be much better with you. Like, Raven sleeps much better when you put her down to sleep instead of me. I'm... I'm gonna sleep." She yawned before going back to bed.

I chuckled softly and carefully bounced Raven in my arms, kissing her softly. "Sleep, Raven... sleep." She cooed with a bit of laughter; tugging on my hair. "I love you... but right now, sleep, okay? Tomorrow, I'll be the best dad to you... I promise."

She cooed with a cute yawn. Her eyes grew droopy as I smiled at her. Reluctantly, she fell asleep with a soft sigh. 

"Goodnight, little one..." I chuckled softly as I kissed her forehead before showering. I will forever treat her as a princess- because she is my princess... and I will do almost everything I can to protect and raise her in my own way.
