Waking up cold, I searched for my glasses and it was handed to me. I groaned as I put them on and smiled, "Morning, Levi."

He chuckles, kissing me. "Morning, Hanji. Your little night shift here with me was just successful. But now..." He sighed, looking at me with saddened eyes. "You gotta go back to the real world- and I don't want you to leave me..."

I kissed him, scooting off the bed and smiling, "I'll come back if you want, Levi. Come on-"

"No... I won't force you down here if you don't want to. Okay?" He smiles and kisses me, gripping on my hand tightly. "But it wouldn't hurt to see you down here from time to time- what's the best way to contact you, Hanji?"

Smirking, I grabbed a piece of paper from the bedside table and the pen, quickly writing my phone number and email. "There ya go. Either for copwork or just to be with me." I felt my whole body grow warm when I mentioned the last part...

"Okay then... better get dressed before you leave then." He chuckled when I got up and grabbed my clothes.

My face turned red as I remembered last night... everything. From the moment he kissed me until we passed out. But I was fully dressed and walked out into the bedroom, putting up my hair.

"H-Hey Levi-" And that's when I felt a knife cut into my skin and I fell to the ground. I gripped onto the wound, groaning loudly. "H-Help..."

I looked up and see a masked man- about 5'9. He wore completely black clothing- as well as black gloves. No way to trace his fingerprints on his blade. My blood covered his knife and he leans down to me... no mercy. He had to know I was a cop...

He pushed me down to the ground, his hand digging into my shoulder as he readied to the blade to my stomach. Whimpering, I wanted to cry... to cry for help... but to me, it was no good. But human instincts take over. "S-Stop..."

The man simply chuckled and was about to stab me. From the corner of my eye, I saw Levi tackling the guy off of me, grunting as he fought him off. "Go! Run!" Levi shouts at me with his steel hardened eyes. No longer was it stormy -like I usually like it- and I nodded.

My heartbeat quickened as I ran to my car, gripping on my bleeding arm as I felt dizzier the more I let it bleed. When I caught my breath and took my jacket it off to bandage the bleeding, I felt scared for Levi. The man that cut me wanted me dead... but I haven't done anything to them. So... they know I am connected to Levi... and if they wanted Levi dead... he could be-

Tears began to sting my eyes as I even thought of that. He couldn't be dead... he just couldn't. Gaining control of my mind again, I started the car and began to drive to the police station- I had to get there to get help to Levi... I had to.

Levi's POV

After Hanji got out of the way, I grabbed a small handgun and loaded it. I growled at the intruder, "The hell do you want?"

He just chuckles behind the mask. "What I want? I want you to suffer... for all the filth you've become."

"Filth?" I chuckled, aiming the gun at him. "Unlike you, I truly despise filth." I grinned, pulling the trigger. I hardly missed, but this guy was tried abnormally good. Swift movements- almost like an assassin. Hanji was right... someone was out to kill me. But for what reason? Because I'm on the streets?

The man groaned as he dodged the bullets, sprinting towards me with his blade drawn. "Tch..." I say loudly as I realized I wouldn't win this fight with a gun. He's too agile.
