Doyoung stood behind the door and checked his phone for any notifications. He knocked again, a little louder and more obnoxious this time, but only because the longer he waited, the lonlier he would feel and he didn't want that.
"Yah, you took your time!" He said with a cheeky smile when the door opened, but his grin faded when he saw Taeil's ruffled appearance of a T-shirt, black shorts, and tights: he he had been out on a date. "Did I interrupt something?" He asked quietly and wrung his hands together.
Taeil beamed and shook his head. "Don't worry about that! Coming in?" He stood to the side and made room for his friend to enter. Doyoung inwardly sighed and threw his hands into his pockets as he stepped over the threshold. He had been in Taeil's house enough times to feel comfortable sitting on the sofa as if it were his own.
"Oh, Doyoung," Johnny said and walked in with a small wave. What's he doing here?
Doyoung turned his head and instinctively closed his legs out of politeness, feeling small. "Hi, Johnny," he nodded back.
Taeil joined the two after closing the door and fixing himself to look a bit more presentable. "So how come you're here, Dodo?"
The man on the sofa hugged a pillow to his chest and rested his cheek onto it. "I was lonely at home," he answered.
Taeil tilted his head a single degree to the left. "What's wrong? You seem off."
Doyoung shook his head and looked down at the pillow, and with a huff he threw it off to the side. "Nothing," he said, but he was clearly lying. However, neither of the older males questioned him any further.
Johnny pushed his hair back with his hands and was practically parading his swollen lips. Doyoung cringed at the sight but listened as the older said, "We were just about to make some food. Join us," Johnny said.
Doyoung looked between them and sighed, something in his heart clenching. "No, I couldn't."
Taeil shuffled over to Johnny and held his arm into his chest. "Why not?"
Doyoung frowned. That's why not. "I'm intruding," he lied.
Johnny rubbed his cheek against the top of Taeil's head before removing his arm from his hold. "I'm just going to the kitchen," he told him before walking away, two pairs of eyes on his back.
Taeil suddenly had an idea. "Oh! Could you do me a favour?"
"Anything," Doyoung smiled and stood up.
"Could you buy some ingredients for a really nice meal or something? I'll give you the money for it!"
"Sure," the younger complied. So I've downgraded to messenger? "What am I getting?"
Taeil buffered for a moment before muttering, "Good question. Go and ask Johnny; he should know."
Doyoung hid a sigh as Taeil remained in the room to tidy it up a little bit and walked into the kitchen, where Johnny was humming and searching through the fridge. He just watched as he subtly danced to the tune he was singing, and for some reason he found it cute. Really cute. He shook his head and looked off to the side.
Doyoung's current problem was... quite complicated. He liked Taeil; he was sweet, kind, adorable, pretty, and they had known each other for ages. It was only natural that he would develop feeling for him.
Fast forward six months and Taeil has a crush on someone. Who? A Grindr match. Ugh. Then they met up, and Taeil just seemed to be happier and happier, until that one day they met in the arcade and Doyoung was blown away because oh my god Johnny was like a prince. He had the height, the hair, the smile, the style, the voice: everything.
Now he was stuck with two fluctuating crushes on two different men who were in love with each other, and there was nothing that he could do except feel lonely. Lonely, lonely,
l o n e l y."Oh, Doyoung!" Johnny jumped when he turned and saw the male just sort of like a statue in the doorway.
Doyoung smiled, it was fake but he had perfected those. "Taeil's sending me on a quest for ingredients. What is it you need?"
Johnny thought for a few moments. "I'll write you a list - but are you sure? Sure you want to go shopping? If you do, you have to stay for the meal, alright?"
Even so, Doyoung shook his head again. "I'm not staying. I have an appointment at half past," he lied.
Johnny nodded. "Okay."
Johnny pulled a shopping list paper off the fridge and neatly wrote down ingredients such a ground meat, lettuce, tomatoes, and a flurry of other foods. Doyoung just watched as the words formed on the paper.
He didn't realise he had also been staring at his lips until Johnny raised an eyebrow in question. Doyoung went pink and tapped his own lips.
"Huh?" The American asked.
Doyoung blushed harder. "Your lips are... swollen."
Johnny blushed this time. "Ah, sorry," he laughed and handed him the short list. He rounded Doyoung's side and stood out in the corridor by the door where a mirror hung and he could see his red, puffy lips. So what if he enjoyed kissing?!
"I'll be going now," Doyoung said and waited by Johnny's side for him to move, but it didn't seem like he was budging anytime soon: of course. Johnny was a beauty guru and took his appearance very seriously. The true Doyoung reemerged and he pushed Johnny back from the mirror by his shoulder and tried to squeeze past him, but there was no distance between them and now all Doyoung felt was hot, flustered, and a very awkward part of him against Johnny's upper thigh.
And then he froze because he had no idea what to do next. Johnny looked down at him, puzzled, just as Doyoung looked up, helpless, and something passed between their eyes.
"Oh, you're leaving?" Taeil asked which shocked the youngest back into reality.
"O-Oh, um, yes," he answered, but it was a further five seconds before he decided to move. His heart was speeding at the close distance with Johnny, and even though he had moved away from him, the pressure of Johnny's body against him remained in his mind and he couldn't get over it.
Johnny's eyes lingered on Doyoung's embarrassed face before he turned to smile at Taeil, who grinned and waved his friend off. "Bye!"
Doyoung was out of the door in a flash. Taeil kept his eyes on the door as his smile dropped into a confused line, and he walked towards Johnny and stood in front of him like Doyoung had, and pressed their bodies close. He didn't say anything but just looked up and waited for Johnny to tilt his head down and kiss him again.
When he did, he hummed happily. Johnny's lips took hold of his and it wasn't long until the kiss deepened and Johnny's hand were on the older's hips and Taeil's were in the younger's hair.
He moaned softly when Johnny's tongue roamed his mouth and claimed every inch as his own, massaging it with his own and loving every second, and during so his hand had started to comb up the back of his hand and the other sneaked up his top. Johnny gasped into the kiss and Taeil smirked, knowing he could make him feel like that; make him feel like Taeil was the only person ever, and that only with him would he feel complete. You know who couldn't do that? Doyoung. Taeil took pride in that.
