Chapter 29

Lori's POV

I woke up and felt a presence beside me. I looked next to me and saw Calum. Eh. I got up and checked the time.

Holy Shit. It's almost noon. I started to shake Calum so he can wake up.

"Calum, get up." I said shaking him.

"What's going on?" he asked sitting up.

I grabbed his hand and pulled him out the bed.

"You need to leave." I said dragging him towards the door.

"Why?" he asked as I pushed him out.

"Stuff." I said closing the door and locking it.

What does Max want anyways? I started making my way towards the attic.

I opened the attic and pushed myself up. I got up and closed the attic door behind me.

"Well look who showed up." Max said.

"What do you want?" I asked my voice shaking.

"Well since you ruined everything, you. You won't be able to get saved this time, I took care of Derek." Max said.

"What did you do to him?" I asked

"Simple. I killed him." he said shrugging.

I gasped, stepping back.

"And I can kill your friends too." he said.

"Please, leave them alone, I'll do anything." I said.

"You are coming with me." he said taking a gun out and pointing it towards me.

"Fine." I said swallowing the lump in my throat.

I had to do something but what. I can't actually go with him. Knowing him he will still hurt my friends even if I go.

I heard my bedroom door open. Calum. Most likely it's him.

"Lorena! Where are you?!" Calum asked screaming.

"Don't you dare make a sound." Max said putting the gun on my head.

I kicked him behind his knees making him fall. He fell still pulling the trigger. I felt pain shoot all through out my arm.

He got up and pointed the gun towards me. I heard Calum start to climb up the attic stairs.

"What are you waiting for? Shoot me." I said.

"No! Don't shoot!" Calum screamed getting in front of me.

Max pulled the trigger but nothing came out.

Fucking dumb ass only had one bullet.

"Wow Max. You're so smart bringing a gun but only one bullet." I said.

Calum flung himself at Max, dropping him on the floor.

"What's wrong?!"

"We heard a gun shot!"

"What the hell happened?!" everyone screamed at the same time.

"Chill! Everything is okay." I said putting my hands in the air then cried in pain.

Oh yeah. I got shot.

"Are you okay?" Zayn asked rushing towards me.

I nodded regretting to nod. My head started to spin.

"Shit, you are losing lots of blood." he said looking panicked.

"Don't worry the cops and ambulance are on their way." Jackie said.
