Chasing Love

Chapter 66

"I love you Louis." she whispered. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Was I going to die? Or was she just reminding me? When the man pulled the trigger I waited for the bullet to hit me but it never did.

Lorena stepped in front of me. She fell back and I caught her. The two men that were running towards tackled the man and hand cuffed them. They were already calling the ambulance. I was frozen. I stared at Lori. Her face pale, lips turning blue. Suddenly she was being yanked out of my arms.

The paramedics took her and drove off. I ran to my car but my vision was blurry. My legs felt week. I drove 80 mph instead of 45. I'm surprised a cop hasn't stopped me.

I parked outside the house rushing to the door. I knocked on the door harshly. Liam opened the door stepping aside for me to come in but I fell to my knees.

"Louis what's wrong?" Liam asked.

"Lori." I squeaked out. I covered my face with my hands trying not to cry.

"What happened to her? Where is she? Louis this isn't funny." Calum stated.

"She, is, at the hospital." I said getting back up coming to my senses.

"Meet you there." I said running to my car. I turned it back on and everyone came running behind me, squishing into my car. Once we got there we ran into the hospital searching for doctor giving her the operation. We waited for news.

Doctor's POV

"Her lungs collapsed!"

"She's loosing too much blood!"

"Doc, she has a 5 minute window. She can die." Johnson told me.

"More back up! Bring me me the anesthetic!" I yelled. More and more people came helping me.

Once we tried what we could I went outside to deliver the news.

"How is she? Please tell me she is okay?" A young man in a suit asked.

"I'm sorry but she is in a very critical condition. We have removed most of the bullet shells but we haven't removed the bullet. I'm afraid we can't remove the bullet, it's too dangerous. She lost too much blood." I informed.

"Do the best you can please." A man with curly hair said.

"No, it's up to her to do the best she can. She has to fight for her life, if it wasn't for the machines helping her breath, she would be dead." I said.

"When can we see her?" he asked.

"Now if you want. Only one person can go, she is unconscious at the moment. All she has to live on are those machines in there so don't freak out when you see a tube down her throat. Don't make her talk either okay? So who is going to be the one to go?" I asked.

The whole agreed on a man named Louis which happened to be the young man in the suit.

Louis' POV

"Follow me." he said. I followed closely behind him and when he left me alone with Lori I rushed to her side. I took in her appearance.

"I love you so much Lori. Please don't give up. I know you and you are a fighter. I love you so god dam much if you leave this world I'm going with you. I could not stand on this planet without you here." I said brushing her cheeks. Her eyes fluttered and she looked over to me. She reached out for me and I held her hand.

"Louis, you look so hot." she managed to say.

I was confused but I still blushed.

"What?" I asked.
