ch. 6 ; too much alcohol

matt suddenly stopped at the side of the house, where the party was. there were many people on the lawn. red solo cups in the yard and in hand. i could hear the music blaring all the way in the car. he unlocked the doors, and we both got out of our opposite directions.

"follow me," he took my left hand.

i instantly pulled it back. hell no, he's not touching me at all.

"don't touch me," i rudely spoke.

he rolled his eyes and began walking into the house, and i followed.

there were crowds of people. people dancing, drinking, grinding, playing beer pong. this does not look anything like virginia parties. the house was huge, yet it still filled up.

"cameron! nash!" i heard matt say over the loud music.

they nodded their heads in a what up manner, and gestured towards me.

"who's she?" the boy named cameron asked about me.

matt leaned over to tell them something and i couldn't hear what it was. they only nodded once he pulled back.

i crossed my arms over my chest. i could feel the stares of a few girls that have been on me since i came in with matthew. all yours, ladies.

"i'm gonna grab some water, i'll see you in a bit," matthew told me before walking away.

i was left here all alone. thanks a lot, matt. a boy appeared to my side and offered me a cup.

"what's in it?" i questioned peeking at the contains of the red solo cup.

"beer," he responded still offering it.

i carefully took it and cautiously took a sip.

yeah, that's beer all right, as the taste of alcohol filled my mouth.

"i'm jackson. jackson mounds," he put out his hand for me to shake.

"i'm jade," i took his hand and shook it.

"no last name?" he laughed a bit.

"nah, only special people know it," i teased him.

i spent basically the entire party with jackson. well he said to call him jax though.. i got to meet his friends.

jax and i ended up in the backyard patio on a swingy couch. there was only room for the two of us so nobody could join us. we were a bit closer than usual, and i didn't mind. i was a little buzzed, i had a couple of drinks.

"you're really pretty, jade," jax slurred turning towards me and putting a strand of hair behind my hair.

"you're hot," i blurted quickly covering my mouth after realizing what i said.

he chuckled a bit, and that his face become super serious. he started to lean in, and i was in shock. it's only been my second day in california and i was already getting kissed by a hot guy.

"jade! i was looking for you!" matt exclaimed interrupting me would be kiss.

i rolled my eyes.

"fuck off, matt," yeah i was a little too buzzed right now.

"jade, i told you not to drink. let's go," he started to take my arm.
