Dinner With Lisi's Family

Lisi's P.O.V

After Alex left I felt part of me leave with him. I don't know, how to say it. I felt like a light switch flick in me when we nearly kissed, right after when I saw him leave my room I saw every unnessesary detail that I never saw before, the heart shaped scar on his cheek, the sparkle in his green eyes and the curve of his lips. I feel, weird, like I've just seen an angel or something, I feel so.. ugh, let's get this feelings thing away, it's dinner time. I stomped down the one million steps and slugged down to the dinner table. There, everyone was waiting for me. 

"Hey," Tate said, looking me over as i started to eat, 

My dad, for some reason was there, which was surprising because he never is. 

"Well?" I asked staring at my biggest brother, Carl, Tate and my dad who were staring at me.My two younger siblings were digging into their mals happily swallowing the chuncks of chicken. 

"Is it true that you're dating an emo guy?" blurted out Carl, he was elbowed by Tate who had an embarassed face. My dad just studied me. 

"No! we're just friends, why?" 

"How did you meet him?" Tate asked curiously, 

"Um, we have a project together, that's all,what's with all these questions?"

"He's bad news Lisianna, I heard his parents did some illegal smuggling to get where they are now, I don't want you hanging around that company."

I stood up, noone dared to use my full first name except y father, and it sure makes me mad. "So you're saying just because Alex's parents are like that means he's like that?! You don't know if it's bullshit or not!!" 

"Language Lisianna, I did not teach you to act this way, this is excactly what I'm talking about, do you see your brothers saying these things? " 

Now THAT was it. Always catogorized under my brothers always compared, This is the last time. 

"O YOU'RE BLAMING ALEX FOR HAT HIS PARENTS DID?! THAT'S THE MOST STUPIDEST THING I EVER HEARD OF!! I HAVEN'T EVEN HEARD HIM SAY A BAD WORD IN MY LIFE!!" I screamed heat going into my face. Why I was defending a boy I just met I don't know. 

"Lisi!" Tate called as I stormed out of the dinig room no longer hungry, I stamped over to the front door, and just before I walked out I said, 

"And for the record Dad, you never taught me anything, except not to be like you," I slammed the front door and stomped outside. Maybe I could find Alex, maybe he'd understand. But.. no, I don't know where he is, I'll just go over Aly's. 

**Ten Minutes Later** 

"Hey, Aly it's me, Lisi, "

"Lisi! Such a surprise!" she opened the door smiling genuinely, Carly and Shanti were with her smiling, 

"What's wrong?" Aly asked looking at my tear-streaked face and no make up,

"My dad is being all prejudiced and said I couldn't talk to Alex because of his parents!" 

Aly looked confused but Carly and Shanti looked at eachother and rolled their eyes, but not at my dad, I knew it was for me. I felt a little twinge of pain but I ignored it and looked at Aly who still looked confused about everyhtng, 

"Come in, and tell us EVERYTHING,"
