St. Agnes Boarding School, one of the most famous and respected Boarding School of South Korea. It's owned and directed by nuns and priests.
It takes its name by Agnes of Rome (c. 291 - c. 304), she's a virgin martyr, venerated as a saint in the Roman Catholic Church, Eastern Orthodox Church, the Anglican Communion and Lutheranism. She is one of the seven women who, along with the Blessed Virgin, are commemorated by name in the Canon of the Mass. She is the patron saint of chastity and virgins, as well as gardeners. It was founded in 1867 and started as an all girls school but since 1901, they decided to make it a mixed one, so they could give a proper education even to those young men. The school accepted people between 10 - 25 years of age. It was always known for its strict regime and exemplary punishments. The institution was also known to be so good at taking its students on the right way, that even rebels who were forced to go there, believers or not, came out good.
St. Agnes Boarding School, was yes formed by Catholic people, but they didn't impose their beliefs on anyone. People could follow their religion without being judged. They only imposed some morals and behaviors that everyone, no matter what religion, nationality, skin color, language or culture they were, had to follow.
In this school two students were enrolled even before the minimum age because of their very bad personality and behaviors Jennie Ruby Jane Kim and Lalisa Manoban ex Pranpriya. As soon as those two entered they made sure to let people know not to mess with them and who ruled.
Jennie Kim was enrolled by her parents when she was 9, while at the time Pranpriya Manoban, who was also enrolled by her parents, was just 6. The two immediately got along, they had 1 year of difference, Jennie was the older.
Years later other two particular girls were enrolled; Chaeyoung Roseanne Park and Jisoo Kim. The first one was sent there not because she behaves bad nor anything, her and her family were just very religious, so at the age of 13, Chaeyoung enrolled in, she was the same age as Lalisa, her birthday was in February. While at the age of 15 Jisoo enrolled under her grandmother's advice as a former student. She was one year older than Jennie. Jisoo always wondered where her grandparents got that strictness and that education and when she had the possibility to live what they did, she took it. She figured it wouldn't have been hard since the education she was receiving at home was just like the one she would have received at the institute.
None of this girls knew each other before entering the institute, except for Jisoo and Lisa, who were best friends since they were 2. When Lisa enrolled in the school, Jisoo didn't got informed and was kept at the obscure of everything, thinking Lisa have abandoned her, shattering her small heart. Why her grandparents didn't told her? Because they thought Lisa was a bad influence on their pure, delicate and innocent Jisoo.
Which low-key was the truth, but also not. It depended from the point of view.
Lisa simply wanted to teach her best friend how to live, since Jisoo had always a strict routine to follow, which didn't include fun and freedom.
