We Meet Again

Blackbird

Alex: "WWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!"

I jump up and book it to our room and see Alex crying in his crib.

I freak and grab him and rock him back and forth.

Y/n: "Shshsh. It's ok, it's ok. Mommy's here."

He sniffles and wines a little, cries still coming.

Y/n: "Blackbird singing in the dead of night~ Take these broken wings and learn to fly~"

He starts to calm down and I sit down at the bed and continue to rock him back and forth.

Y/n: "All your life~ You were only waiting for this moment to arise~"

Adam: "Blackbird singing in the dead of night~"

I look over and see Adam singing. I smile at him, because his voice is deep and mellow.

Adam: "Take these sunken eyes~ and learn to see~"

He sits next to me and we look at our boy falling asleep.

Adam: "All your life~ You were only waiting for this moment to be free~

Adam & Y/n: "Blackbird fly~ Blackbird fly~ Into the light of a dark black night~"

We smile and hum to the rest of the song so that he won't be disturbed for he fell fast asleep.

As I place him down, I look at Adam and smile.

Y/n: "I've always love your voice."

He chuckles.

Adam: "I love your voice too."

I look at him lovingly and stand on my tiptoes and kiss him. He smiles and kisses me back.

As we let go we look at our beautiful baby and smile.

I then remember a little detail.

Y/n: "Um, Adam."

He hums for me to continue.

Y/n: "I-I have to go out tomorrow with Jaiden to find her a wedding dress. So, you have to watch the baby."

His eyes widens.

Adam: "Alright. But, what do I do if he cries again? Or what if he chokes? Or-"

I smile sweetly and interrupt him with a peck on his lips.

Y/n: "You'll be fine. You know how to take care of him when he chokes. You know what he likes to eat. And. You know what to do when he cries. Sing the one song he loves the most. It always works."

As I take a shower and put my pj's on, Adam's shirt, I get into bed and stare at Alex peacefully sleeping.

Adam: "You sure I got this?"

I turn my head to him when he gets in bed.

Y/n: "I'm positive. You are amazing after all."

He smiles.

Adam: "Alright. I'll watch him tomorrow."

We give each other a quick peck on the lips. We smile and cuddle into each other.

Y/n: "I love you."

He tightens his grip around me.

Adam: "I love you too."
