As me and Corbyn grew up together, I feel into that typical love trap. Everything he did made butterflies in my stomach but I didn't know how he felt so I never acted in the feelings. The problem was that they only grew stronger.

I was strong and tried to act normally because I wouldn't trade our friendship for anything at all.

"Hey can you come over after school?" Corbyn asked in the morning while walking to school.

"You already asked me that and I'll tell you again, yeah," I smiled.

"Oh right," he said while scratching his neck.

"Are you alright? You've been acting kinda weird?"

"Yeah I'm okay just nervous but you'll understand soon."

I thought for a moment but brushed it off and decided to start a new conversation.
...
We walked home silently which was unusual for us. We usually were always chatting or joking about something. When we finally got to his house, we greeted his mom and went up to his room.

"Okay so I need you to sit on the bed and close your eyes," he smiled.

I followed his directions and made myself comfortable before closing my eyes.

"Okay now open them," he said after grabbing something.

I looked at his holding a rose and a card.

"What's this for," I ask.

"Everything I want to say is in the card because I want you to remember it but here goes.Y/n, we've known each other for  years and through those years I have fallen in love with you. Every time I see you I fall deeper. You always bring out the best in me and vice versa. You're the only person who can cheer me up and make me smile after a hard day. I love you with all of my heart and more. We have been best friends for ten years and as of today I want to tell you that I want to be more. I want to hug you and kiss you and let you steal all of my hoodies. But even through we have history I want to do it properly so, Y/n, would you give me the honors of taking you on a date?" he grinned.

I hugged him tightly never wanting to let go.

" I wouldn't trade it for the world," I whispered in his ear.
