Don't get me wrong, I love Danny. It's just that sometimes, he can get a bit clingy. And I loved that too! But sometimes, a girl needs a break.

Today was a normal day with him but I also decided that tonight would change. If I wanted a bit of space I had to go for it. So I waited for him to ask to stay over.I was laying on Daniel's lap as he played with my hair as we watched some Netflix.

"Could I just spend the night?" He asked me.

"Um not tonight, I think I'd rather be alone tonight. But we can FaceTime so you can say 'I love you' through the phone tonight," I decline.

"Or I could just spend the night since I'm already here and I do it all the time," he reasoned.

"I just really don't wanna be in your arms tonight, I'll just use my covers to stay warm tonight. I think I'm better off here all alone tonight. Plus there ain't no checkin' on you when you get home tonight since I know you're good and I can just make sure I'm good on my own tonight," I declined again.

"Why? Are you mad at me or something?"

"No no no! There isn't nothin' wrong tonight. I'm just sayin', baby, I can't really miss you if I'm with you and when I miss you, it'll change the way I kiss you. Baby, you know time apart is beneficial, I just need some space," I explained with a gentle smile.

"I'm confused. You always want me over and always want me to stay so why are you being all weird now?"

"Look, the bottom line is usually I would love it if you stay the night, but I just think I'm on another page tonight and it ain't nothing wrong with saying I need me time."

By this point I was sitting up because I could tell that Daniel seemed kind of hurt.

"Babe I'm not mad at you okay? I just want some me time to chill. We always hangout and I love that, but I just want some alone time for a little. Just quiet time for a place to think, ya know?" I rephrased.

"So you're not mad at me at all?" Daniel asked.

"Not even a little! I'd just rather be alone tonight, promise," I smiled.
