"Another night, another party," I sighed before walking inside.

The smell of sweat and alcohol was strong and unbearable. I pushed through the bodies of grinding teens to find Jonah. H was laughing at one of his friends as I came in.

"Baby! You made it," he grinned.

"Hey," I greeted back, trying to force a smile but failing.

"Well you look stunning, a little too stunning with all these guys around," he joked making me chuckle.

I sat next to him on the island and played on my phone as he chatted. The smell of alcohol and all of the untrustworthy people made my stomach turn. My anxiety was high and I decided to leave.

"I'm gonna get going, walk me to my car?" I asked Jonah.

"Oh uh yeah," he agreed.

I waved goodbye to his friends and mine as we left. I leaned against my car once we got to it.

"What's goin' on?" Jonah asked while tucking a piece of hair behind my ear.

"I am just sick of fake smiling. I can't do it anymore Jonah. My anxiety has been sky high, I'm sad and unmotivated, I just feel emotionally drained and so stressed anymore," I vent.

Jonah carefully grabbed my hands and looked me in the eyes.

"We're going on a vacation and you cannot day no. You overwork yourself, all the time, and it's time for a break. Me and the boys have two weeks off starting tomorrow. So let's do this, pack summery outfits, enough for a week, and I'll be by tomorrow. Well leave the next day, deal?" He smiled.

"Jonah you know I can't just-," I began to reason.

"Can't what? Can't use vacation days from work and do your online school all tomorrow, which I will help you with, and quit overworking yourself? Uh yes you can and that what we're going to do," he demanded.

"But the money and the-" I started again.

"Nope. I have the money and I am aloud to spend it on whatever I want."

I thought about it and smiled. A real, genuine smile.

"I'll see you tomorrow," I grinned before kissing him goodnight and going home to prepare for vacation.
