I carefully looked at the view from our backyard with my sketch pad in front of me. I paid attention to all of the little details so I could get them just right.

"Whatcha doin' here all alone?" I heard Daniel asked from behind me.

"Come sit with me," I told him.

He joined me in looking at the view and then looked at my sketch.

"You missed that tree," he joked, "but it's pretty good."

"Pretty good?" I ask with a smile.

"Eh I could do better," he shrugged with a grin.

"Oh really Mr. Seavey, I'd like to see you do better!"

"Give me the sketch pad, I'll draw a better view."

I turned the page and handed over my book. I looked at the view, studying it more to see what I could add.

"Done!" Daniel said a little later.

I grabbed the sketch pad and saw that he drew me staring into the distance.

"You weren't sketching the prettiest view so mine is better," he chuckled with a  light blush growing.
