Hannah was the life of the party. She had blonde, curly hair. Her bluish-grey eyes were enchanting like the grey clouds before a storm as if they held a mystery.

Before meeting Alan, she had trust issues. But you couldn't blame her for that. After all that she had been through, it was evident that she was affected. Destiny had forced her to grow up beyond her years. The smiles, laughs and everything else seemed like a facade to hide what was underneath - 'A broken heart damaged beyond repair.'

But she was trying to forget. She was trying to stop the demons from her past from ruining her future which was full of hope. Alan was her future.

But if I were to describe them as cliches, Hannah would surely be the cheerleader. Not the arrogant one, but the bubbly one. She wasn't dumb (okay, maybe a little). But at the same time she was cheerful and happy.

Sarah was the 'Hermione Granger' of her group. Or you could call her the nerd. With brown hair and brown eyes, there was nothing distinctive about her appearance. No one paid any attention to her until they got to know her. She had always led a comfortable life with loving parents and a beautiful home. When they had met, she became Hannah's moral support. She was a selfless person and cared for everybody without even thinking of herself. She had decided to attend a college near her town so that she could stay with Hannah even when she could've gone to a better one. Hannah had begged Sarah, not to this, but she was so adamant that nobody could persuade her to change her mind. But not one day of her life had she regretted her decision to stay. Good friends are hard to find, and when it was time to choose, she chose Hannah.

Both Sarah and Hannah were very different from one another. According to physics, unlike charges attract each other, so maybe that's the reason their friendship was so strong.

Hannah made sure they enjoyed life to the fullest while Sarah made sure that they retained their sanity. Maya was the one who fought for her friends.

She had insulted Hannah's exes, publically after a bad breakup to make her feel better. So, you got the idea, I guess. Maya was a badass and was born to make savage comebacks. She wasn't the girl next door, rather a lone wolf who had finally found her pack.

Together they were unbreakable, unstoppable.

After binge-watching the first two seasons of Riverdale, Hannah sat on her bed feeling bored. Even a great entertainer needed someone to entertain. She couldn't just go on blabbering to herself without anybody who could listen. That would be psychotic.

So, she ended up dialling Alan's phone number. He picked after a few rings and answered her cheerful greeting in a dull manner.

"What happened? You seem a little under the weather."

He answered her question, "I got fired."

"What! I mean, are you okay? What happened?"

"Um well let's say that they asked me to do a lot of work and I couldn't complete it in time."

"Oh! That's okay. You are so talented that you'll immediately find another job."

"Well, maybe they were right about me. I'm just another incompetent fellow who thinks that they can perform wonders and yet are good for nothing. That's why nobody wants me."

"Did they say that? Give me your boss' number! I wish to give him a piece of my mind." Alan's past was dark. Only Hannah knew about the bones buried deep inside his closet, but it was their little secret.

"No, Han. It's okay."

"I don't think that they deserve a hacker like you. You've protected their systems for so long. You spent nights finding any loopholes in their security system. That's wrong! Besides, I want you. Okay?"

He chuckled and said, "You always manage to make things better."

She curled a strand of her hair around her finger and smiled.

"I love you," he said.

"I love you too. And that's why I'm coming over. We can watch some movies."

"No! You'll make me watch The Notebook again," he groaned.

"What's wrong with you? It's an amazing movie."

"Yeah, it was, until you made me watch it fifteen times."

"Thirteen times!" she exclaimed.

"Fine, whatever. Just come over."

Hannah smiled and landed a fist bump in the air.

"I'll be there in fifteen."
