REY

I sat uncomfortably in that house. I kept a close eye on everyone while they slept. They were all asleep. Mom,Pauline,Sven, Tyrese,The entirety of Eskarina's family,Sonja, and Emelenia. They all slept soundly, but I stayed awake.

Darkness had fallen, and the lounge was lit only by a dim fire which burned in the fireplace. The shadows danced around me, in a strange, ominous and macabre fashion.

The hairs on the back of my neck stood upright as the only sound that I heard throughout the house, was the sound of the clock as the seconds ticked by.

My sole worry, was that I had not seen Dad ever since the doors had shut behind us. Ever since we had all set foot inside here, he never uttered a fucking word, and I never saw him since he greeted us outside.

I never knew where he was, and in the darkness of the manor, I was more than reluctant to go around snooping in the shadows to try and find him. I also didn't dare leave everyone alone with him. Both Nova and Mother had told me how much of a horrible person he was, and while at first I was skeptical, his overall aura made me conclude that what they had said about him was true.

And the way he looked at Eskarina's younger siblings...it made me sick just thinking about it. How a man can be so twisted.

My eye's became heavy as time passed. I struggled to stay awake, not wanting to let my guard down for one second. I was the only one who was awake, who could stop my father if he dared do anything.

Time continued to pass, and eventually,I couldn't keep my eye's open any longer.

Hours must have passed while I was asleep. I woke up in an awkward position. My arms were suspended high above my head, wrists bound by shackles which were screwed into the ceiling.

I was on my knee's,helpless as my thoughts were clouded by fatigue.

"Oh you're such a sweet specimen."

I had barely known him for a few moments, but he instilled a fear within me that I cannot put into words.

The best way to describe what I felt during those moments, is dread. A fear so unexplainably powerful,it was as if I could shit myself on the spot.

I struggled against my bonds, which earned me a swift kick in the stomach. My wind left me, and I found myself gasping for air.

I saw nothing around me. No light, no sounds, nothing but black.

"This is,apparently what your brother saw when he died. Nothing. A deep, black, nothingness, where he was all alone."

His fingers slid across my cheek, sharp and and razor-like to the touch.

I felt blood drip from my cheek, slight pain ebbing through my face.

"Such smooth skin...such succulent flesh..."

"Get away from me."

He appeared ahead of me,his eye's pitch black, rows of razors for teeth which he flashed to me with a large grin.

"We're going to have fun, you and I."

I giggled. I quickly smashed my forehead against his mouth, knocking some of his teeth in as he fell back.

"Don't test me pops,I'm not a child. That's right,I know you only did those fucked up things to Nove when he was a kid, you sick fuck!"

Pain burst through my skull as his knuckles connected with my nose, time and time again.

I spat out a tooth, wiggling another one loose with my tongue.

"Oh you're a fiesty one Rey. Not like your brother, always so fucking innocent, wanting to hug people. I like you, not a weakling like he is."
