A/N: Hai guys! I'm new here! And recently made my very first to-be-published-here story! So, here it is! You're all welcome to comment, like, and follow! :D

Alexandria's P.O.V

'Ping!' I sat up. Groggily looking around the pitch-black room, I located a soft, blue glow. I squinted, trying to see the tiny writings on the screen, then gave up. Grunting, I put my black-rimmed glasses on. I read the words plastered on the screen out loud. "Ugh, bored at home....can't sleep. Can you chat?" I groaned, looking at my digital bedside clock. 3 a.m. "Dammit!" I cursed, glaring at the now fading glow of light. I flopped back on the bed, willing myself to ignore my best friend. But she knew me all too well. I covered my ears, repeatedly muttering the words "Damn you" as the annoying 'Ping!' kept going off and off in my laptop. I finally sat up again and made my way to my desk. I practically slammed my fingers on the keyboard in my angry, sleep-deprived state.

I slammed my laptop shut and crawled back to bed. I was going to have some researching to do tomorrow, thanks to Paisley. Soon, I fell into the welcoming arms of slumber.

Early the next Monday morning, I was up and about, looking up instructions for any kind of summoning. I came across Bloody Mary, Candy Man, and other boring well-known stuff. Then I saw a website that says: The Midnight Game: Play at your own risk! It sounded so cliche I almost laughed, but clicked on it anyway. It revealed a site decorated with glowing candles. I scrolled through the instructions, committing them to memory. I then read the 'what to do when the Midnight Man is in your home' thing. Reading those, I felt goose bumps rise up my arms. I got even more chills when I got to the 'what happens when you fail to surround yourself with a circle of salt'. I let out a shaky laugh, trying to brush those ridiculous feelings away. I then read the site again. This game is so perfect for Friday, I thought. First of all, my parents were going to be out for the whole Friday night and Saturday morning, which was perfect timing. Second of all, I had all the materials needed for the game right here in this house. And finally, this would scare the hell out of my friends. 'Will it scare me?' I thought, then forced out a giggle. 'Oh heck, what am I thinking? This is just a made-up game....' But I could not help it. I had a very creepy feeling about the whole thing.
