The grey sky was clearly seen through Dianna's window. Dianna stared out the window, laying down in her soft king-sized bed. She was thinking about how her life would have been so miserable if she was still laying around with her ex- boyfriend, Richard. Richard was a nice-looking man with rich, smooth chocolate skin. He started off as a loving and caring boyfriend; he even wanted to marry Dianna.
However, he became a loyal participant to alcohol. This made him become very abusive physically and verbally. After awhile, Dianna didn't even notice herself crying while thinking of the many times Richard put her in the hospital. Wiping her semi dry tears away, she arose from her warm bed, getting her day started.
"Lord give me all the strength I need "Dianna prayed.
After showering and getting dressed, Dianna was on her way to work. She was a well-known Sports Journalist at ESPN Headquarters. Dianna was proud of where she stood as an individual. She was 25 years old, beautiful, dark skinned with a nice curvy figure, and has a well paying and supporting job. The only thing that she didn't find stable was her love life. Dianna has had a fair share of men, but all of them has ran nothing but game on her.
The closet she has ever came to love was her last boyfriend Richard, but he was no good. Out of all the men she has dated, Richard was the only one to really break her heart. Dianna just wants someone who will love her for her and nobody else.
Chris
"Aye man, you want to hit up this basketball game later"
Chris stood 6'4" in his office, listening to his best friend Martin, trying his hardest to persuade Chris to go to the Hornets game. Chris has never liked going out, but he was always willing to work. If it was anything pertaining to his job, he was up for it. However, he has notice that he needed some time for himself. So, he decided to go out and cut loose for the meantime.
5:45pm
Later that day, Chris was just finishing up some last-minute work with just an hour to get home and get dressed for the game. Looking at the time he gathered his things and headed home. Half way home, Chris decided to call Martin to let him know that he was almost home.
"Man, you wouldn't have to rush if you wasn't working so late" Martin nagged.
Chris fought the urge to roll his eyes; not wanting to here all the unnecessary nonsense.
" Yeah Marty I know, but things got to get done"
" I'm just sayin' man, but anyways I will see you in a little bit".
