Flawless - The Neighbourhood
Niall's Point of View
The bus journey took longer then expected. There had been a crash on a main road to the Wembley Area and add in the rush hour traffic then it's just all a mess. But we got there eventually.
We thanked the bus driver as we walked off and the size of the stadium overwhelmed me. It was a lot bigger then it seemed on TV, from the few matches David and I watched together. There were quite a few people looking around it, taking pictures or laughing with their friends. A few football fans walked around too, wearing their teams colours.
"It's so cool." I muttered in awe.
"I know." Liam smiled down at me. "I once watched a match here, when I was little. My dad and I supported the team that lost so it wasn't the best experience." He laughed to himself.
"N'aww." I cooed at him as we started walked closer towards the endless flights of stairs that lead up to the stadium's countless entrances.
"There's 14 entrances. From 1 to P. There's no O entrance though." He informed me and I nodded. The stairs took like 5 minutes to get up and what was on the floor intruged me. There were loads of game stats dating back almost 50 years ago.
"Go Liverpool!" I quietly whooed as I saw a game they won.
"The shopping mall is over there, so not far away." He pointed out, past some water fountains on the ground.
"Okay." I smiled and continued looking around the floor. "The queues to the loos are massive." I gawked at the lines.
"Hmm. You should see them on game days before the gates open. It's hectic."
"Oh." We walked around the stadium, taking a few pictures of things like the scenery past the stadium that looked over part of London. It was beautiful.
The sun was setting fast and street lights turned on around us, making everything even more beautiful. I sat down on a bench that didn't face the stadium to rest. Liam sat beside me, holding my hand.
"Thank you, for taking me here." I said quietly, a small puff of dragon breath coming out my mouth.
"It's no problem." He replied softly."It's a beautiful area of London, sometimes. When it's not crowded with people."
"Not a big fan of crowds?" I asked.
"No, not really." He shook his head. "But I've always dreamed of performing here. I mean, in a small band or something."
"Huh... I think that can happen." I told him reassuringly.
"Really?"
"Yeah. If you put your mind to it. I bet you could even perform at Madison Square Garden." I smiled and rested my head on his shoulder again.
"Thanks, Ni. That really means a lot." He kissed my head softly. "Wanna go get food now? I don't want the restaurants to close before we get there."
"Okay, it's only half 7 so we should have some time." I answered as he stood up and I followed. We walked back down the monster stairs and strolled towards the mall entrance.
"Wait a second. Can we do something?" Liam asked just before we got to the first shop.
"Umm sure.. I guess." I replied, confused. He took my hand and directed me towards the fountains which were turned on.
"Excuse me, miss? Can you take a picture of us please?" He asked a lady who didn't look too old. I gulped as Liam held out his phone.
"Sure." She replied taking the phone and stepping back a bit. Liam smiled polietly at her and tugged me closer to the fountains which were slightly lit up buy a few lights. Liam turned to face me while I stared at his chin. He lifted my head up by my chin with two fingers.
