Black Mambo -  Glass Animals

Niall's Point of View

"Niall?" I hear Sebastian's voice perk up about 10 minutes into the drive. A few eyes flicker over to him while mine rest comfortingly on him. He looked up at me. Skin dirty, hair messed up and his face was bruised. I couldn't see much of his body. I didn't know how much they had hurt him.

"Hey," I smile at him softly.

"I've missed you so much, Niall. Where did you go?" He asks, making me feel guilty.

"I'm sorry. I couldn't find you." He frowns and starts to cry. "Hey, it's going to be okay." I try to soothe him.

"I'm scared." He cries.

"Don't cry." Someone's voice speaks up. I look over to a girl who was quite tall by the looks of it. From what I could tell in this light, she had light brown hair and was wearing a black shirt with denim shorts. "If they hear you crying, they'll hurt you." She warned.

I reach my arm out as far as possible to try touch Sebastian to comfort him and calm him down. I don't want him crying. Looking around, he was the youngest. A boy rested in the far corner of the van, closest to the drivers. He looked to be about 19. I couldn't tell properly though.

Sebastian hiccuped and calmed his crying down. "Does anyone know where we're going?" I asked. A few shook their heads and the girl who spoke before whispered a broken 'no'.

I sighed and rested my head to the back of the van. "I heard you got found, Niall." Sebastian spoke again. I nodded and sunk further away.

"What was it like, being with your family?" He asked quietly.

"Amazing." I replied simply. I think back to Mum, what would she be doing right now? Would people still be watching her?

Then Liam, he would be in college with the others. Probably worrying about me though, I know how Liam is. And after that phone call coming to a sudden end, he would be more worried then before.

Were all these people in here missing too? I didn't recongize anyone but Sebastian and haven't seen the others on the News. Maybe they have been missing for so long that people have given up. My heart breaks slightly.

"Why are you back here then?" Sebastian wondered aloud.

"They had my mum. They were going to hurt her and I didn't want that to happen." I responded, careless about the people listening in.

"That's brave of you." He commented.

"Why would you do that?" A boy next to me asked. "Give up your freedom. You were free to do what you want, you could've called the police and stayed safe."

"They were going to kill her if I told. I couldn't."

"What about your friends? Leaving them behind must've hurt." The boy poked on. I felt my heart break.

"Yeah, it does." I whispered. "It's too late now anyway."
