Sam's POV

I held him there. I held him in my arms. His heart beat was faint, almost unnoticeable. Everything that I've worked for was gone. These past years I spent plotting this out - gone in minutes.

I was trapped in a daze. My mind blank as his heart beat slowed more and the blood was starting to dry to my hands.

What am I doing?

I shook my head and snapped out of my daze. I knew what to do, but it was going to be risky. I stood up and picked up my brother gently. He was light and fragile. Carefully, I walked out the door of my house and jogged to my 4x4 car.

I lay Niall along the back seat, strapping the seat belts across him. I took some old cloth and pressed it against his wound. He flinched in contact and I muttered a quick "sorry" to him. I didn't know if he was able to hear me - or if he was even awake.

Once I finished, I sat in the driver's seat and drove full speed to the hospital. I got caught by multiple cameras but I didn't care. I was at the hospital within 5 minutes. I took Niall out the car and ran towards the entrance. I got a few stares from people which I shot back at them and went to the reception desk.

"DOCTOR DOCTOR! I NEED A DOCTOR NOW!" I yelled and immediately attention was delivered to us. Niall was taken away by a crowd of doctors. I ran after them, keeping the tears that were threatening to fall; in.

The doctors took him surgery where I wasn't allowed into. I went back to the waiting room and sat in silence for around 2 hours. During that time, the receptionist's phone rang over and over again. People cried while others came to visit relatives and friends. In the far wing of the hospital was the canteen, you could just about make out the sounds of cutlery and plates smashing together. The smell of the hospital made me sick. It's bright white walls blinded my vision and the miserable atmosphere killed the mood.

Nobody had noticed Niall yet, hopefully. I think the doctors are more interested in saving him before having a go at me for kidnapping him. It wasn't even me in the first place! So they can't say much as they should have seen that it was David who kidnapped him first.

"Niall Horan?" A voice asked and I looked up. I didn't even tell them his name. "Over here," the doctor said and motioned me over. I look a deep breath and stood up, walking over to the doctor feeling all eyes on me.

"Hello, I'm Doctor Laing but you can call me Luke." He held a hand out for me to shake. I nervously took it and shook it at the same time as saying "I'm Sam Willi- I mean Sam Horan." I need to get my last name right! I've been using the fake one for so long I feel attached to it.

Luke raised an eyebrow. "You sure?" he asked and stepped back, taking his hand away. I nodded.

"Sorry I thought I was using my married name not my birth name." I lied. I think he would believe it.

"So who are you to Niall? Uncle? Cousin? Brother? Step father?" luke asked, prying his way into what he shouldn't know.

"Brother." I said simply.

"You do realize your 'brother' is still being found from being kidnapped, right? Sir, I'll have to ask you to talk to the police just in case." He said cautiously.

"I've cleared it with the police, they know I've got him back and my mother and I are going back to Ireland later, it's just we ran into trouble." I lied again, fiddling with my fingers.

"Do you mind if I speak to your mother?" he asked. fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck! The fucking little wank stain! Why did he have to ask that?

"She's...erm....down at the police station filing the news." I said wearily.
