Is there somewhere -  Halsey (A.k.a my baby)

Liam's point of view

I called Detective Button up the next morning as my alarm sounded. I didn't sleep. I couldn't sleep knowing that Niall wasn't speaking.

Hell, he may not even be breathing.

Button sounded annoyed that I was calling so early on a Sunday but this is serious. My boyfriend was missing. Gone.

Button said that I should come down to the station at 10 and he'll meet me there. It was only 9. I had half an hour left before I needed to move.

My mum was out working just like my dad so I had no one to talk to. I couldn't help out pace aimlessly around the living room. I needed a distraction. The images of Niall hurt or worse, flooded my mind like a tidal wave.

After a mug of strong coffee to keep me going, I left the house and practically sprinted to the nearest station where Button stood outside, waiting for me. I got chills just looking at him.

"Morning." I greeted him. He nodded and opened up the door for me to go through. I thanked him and entered the station, the memories of my summer replaying over in my head.

He leads me into a statement room and we sit opposite each other.

"So what's happened to make you think your friend is missing again?" Button asked. Didn't he believe me? It was a risk letting Niall out of our sights in the first place!

"On Friday morning, I called him up to see if he was okay after going to his house to find no one home. His mum is nowhere in sight and I haven't got her number to call her with. Anyway, the call. At first it was normal but it ended in the middle of him talking. I've been trying to contact him again and again but no one is answering. His phones been disconnected. It's now Sunday and still nothing."

After Button had finished writing down what I said, he looked up at me. "I need to know if you have any evidence that he's been taken."

I shake my head sadly. "I've got nothing but myself connecting up the dots."

"I'll see if I can get ahold of his mother." He said and stood up. He left the room with his notes. It took him 10 long minutes to return.

"I'm sorry but she's not answering." He seemed a little confused. "I'll keep trying for you and if I get nothing by tomorrow lunch, I'll call you up and tell you. "

"Wait! I've just remembered something!" I exclaim. "On Thursday, I was at his house and someone had broken in and spray painted a message on the wall. It said "you for her" signed Y-K-W." I explained to him. Oh my god how did I forget?!

"That's creepy." Button sighed. "There's a chance that your friend-" boyfriend "- May have been swapped." I frown.

"What do you mean swapped?"

"The people who took him works in a human trafficking business. They are a dangerous group of people. They might've taken a girl close to him. Told him about the swap, meaning the message. He obviously went along with it and now he's gone again." Button cleared up. Human trafficking?! That's sick! They can't do that to my Niall.

But they already have.

"Would the girl happen to be his mum?" I asked, connecting the jigsaw.

"It's a major possibility." He responded. "I'll call you tomorrow, you need to get home now."

I nod and get up. Solemnly, I walk my normal path home. It wasn't until I felt someone watching me did I turn around and find a person dressed in all black, almost breathing down my neck. I speed up out of the crowded part of London and into my silent neighbour hood, the person still relatively close to me.
