Chapter 10

Time skip to Christmas morning.
Skye Pov

I wake up at 5:30 am sharp, slipping on my slippers and robe before brushing my hair and heading downstairs. I take out my phone, softly playing Christmas music as I get to cooking breakfast.

"What the hell? What are you-" Jared mumbles, rubbing his eyes tiredly as he walks into the kitchen. "Oh, there's food, okay then. Merry Christmas Skye."

"Merry Christmas to you too Jared." I reply, turning my attention back turning back to the food cooking on the stove.

"Here Skye, this last present is from Tom." Gen tells me, then she hands me a medium sized flat box.

I open it, and inside there's a simple necklace with a single diamond. I quickly put it on, smiling happily.

After all of us put our presents away and have picked up our trash, I head back to bed to catch a little bit more sleep before I have to start packing.

I sigh, zipping up the last off my stuff into my suitcase. My flight leaves tomorrow at noon, and I'm still pretty tired.

I click shuffle on my calm music playlist before curling up into a ball under the covers. The first song to play is You Are My Sunshine by Jimmie Davis.
