EYES: Unusually large, lidless eyes are sensitive to any amount of light. Morlocks eyes have a reflective quality similar to a cat's, which enables them to see well in darkness.
SKIN: Centuries of living underground in the darkness have made Morlocks ghostly pale. Their hides contain no melanin, the pigment that gives skin its color. BODY: Muscular, apelike bodies give the Morlock speed, agility, and tremendous strength.
FUR: A thin coat of fur is essential to help trap body heat and keep the Morlocks war in their chilly burrows.
Deep beneath the surface of Earth dwells an apelike race called Morlocks. These pale, fur-covered creatures live in the darkness below England in the year A.D. 802,701. The Morlocks tend ancient machines in their black caverns. Both their fur and lair smell foul and reek of the blood of their victims. Their large, reflective eyes are so accustomed to the darkness that they are blinded by any amount of light, and even the glow from a match is painful to them. Morlocks emerge from their world only at night, to snatch surface dwellers and drag them back to their caverns to feast on their flesh.
Morlocks feed on the lazy, passive surface dwellers called Eloi. Morlocks treat the Eloi like livestock, providing them with food and shelter until the time comes to haul them away to be eaten underground. The entrances to the Morlock world are a series of structures that resemble circular wells. These entrances are spread across the countryside, giving the Morlocks easy access to the Eloi. The steady sound of thudding machinery far below the ground can be heard for miles around.
