NOSE: With an acute sense of smell, a zombie can detect the odor of human prey up to a mile away.
MOUTH: The zombie uses no spoken language, but only moans. It consumes human flesh.
BODY: As an undead being, a zombie may reek of the grave or have body parts that are rotting away.
LIMBS: Having its limbs cut off does not bother a zombie. It will continue to seek flesh for as long as its brain is intact.
BRAIN: Even though its brain is not active, a zombie can only be permanently stopped by destroying its brain.A zombie is an undead corpse that feeds on living human flesh. When a zombie bites a living human, it passes on an infection in the form of a virus. The virus travels through the victims bloodstream, infecting the brain, and all bodily functions stop. The victims brain remains alive but inactive. Symptoms resulting from a zombie bite include bruising of the bitten area, fever, slowed heart rate, numbness, and coma. By the next day, the victim rises as a zombie. The zombie spends all its time in search of a new victim. Despite its slow shuffle, the zombie is an efficient killer and can live for several years before it rots completely away.
The only way to kill a zombie is by destroying its brain. Blunt objects, axes, guns, harpoons, crossbows, and chainsaws have all been proven to be effective weapons for destroying the zombies brain. However, it is unwise to engage a zombie in hand-to-hand combat. Protective gear, such as armor or a mesh shark suit, should be worn when approaching a zombie, to protect against its lethal bite. Zombies cannot be burned to death, and a burning zombie produces an incredible stink.
