"Mm, time is moving faster now. We wilt against the exponentially increasing current." Marcus mumbled as he looked around the room wearily.
"It's okay, Marcus. Everything's going to be okay." Saya assured him as Edith sat him on the bed. He gripped her hand tightly never wanting to let go.
"What if it what if it never ends? What if this never ends?" He questioned, his eyes watering ever so slightly.
"Edith's going to take care of you. Relax, this is who we are now." Saya said patting Edith's shoulder. Edith rolled her eyes at her touch but luckily Saya didn't notice.

Edith had left Marcus in Billy's capable hands while she went to go and get a few snacks.
"Edith. Eeedith. Eeeeedith." Willie sang as he leaned on the vending machine. Edith smiled over to him.

A genuine smile.
"You're really cool Edith." Edith patted his shoulder and pulled him with her, she felt like a mother being pulled in all different directions especially when there was another shout,
"Edith!"
Billy ran up to the girl, tripping over his feet and toppling a few times before he reached her.
"Have you seen Marcus? He's gone." Billy questioned.
Edith's eyes widened and looked around the room anxiously.
"No? You haven't?" Edith shook her head. "Fuck." Billy ran his hand over his face. "We killed my dad, he locked us out of the room. I've got the keys from Saya but nobody's seen him."
The boy was frantic so she nodded slowly and pulled out her note pad.
'You take Willie, I'll stay here and look for marcus'
She showed Billy the note and he nodded with a small smile and took Willie back to the room with Saya.
