Virginia and I stood outside of the house as cameras flashed and people asked a million questions all at once. A reporter and a cameraman came up, making everyone fall silent. It was Charlotte Hudson. She was the most respected reporter in the town of Cheline. She was also one of our most trustworthy partners.  "Good afternoon ladies," she said as her cameraman got set up, "As you already know, we'll be talking about the incident that happened yesterday evening with your uncle"

She looked right at me as she said this. I bit my lip as we both nodded. She stood next to me and smiled. The cameraman lifted up his camera and started to count down from five. When he got to one Charlotte started to speak. "Thank you, Chris," she said, "Here with me are Virginia and Lenora. The two young women who were the main witnesses and victims of yesterdays events. Lenora, sources have told me that this man was your uncle. Is this true?"

She put the microphone in front of me. "Yes it is," I replied with a sigh.

"Was he always like this?" she asked me.

"He was always kind of odd," I said, "But he never went this far. I was surprised when I realized it was him"

Charlotte sighed and continued."How was the experiance for the two of you?" she asked, looking at us expectingly.

"It was scary," Virginia said, biting her lip, "I think the weird part was that he seemed to come out of nowhere"

I looked at her as soon as she said that. This was news to me as I had been asleep. "Can you elaborate on that?" Charlotte asked, clearly as interested as I was.

"Well, I was driving Lenora and I home, and Lenora had fallen asleep next to me," Virginia began, "We were down the street when he jumped out up from what seemed to be underneath the car. I screamed which woke Lenora up. Then you know the rest"

"Interesting," Charlotte replied, "Lenora, can you tell us our version of things?"

I nodded. "Like Virginia said, I was asleep," I said, "When she screamed, I woke up. When I did all I saw was my uncle with his hair and beard uncombed and the flag painted on his chest. He was bleeding from the mouth when he screamed 'long live the sultan' After that we rushed home."

Charlotte nodded and smiled. "Thank you," she said, "As you know, the sultan was found dead later in the evening after the event. More on that coming up next"

By this point, she was facing the camera again. The cameraman said that we were done and Charlotte turned towards us. "Ladies, can we talk?" she asked, nodding towards the door.

I nodded and brought her inside. The three of us sat down. "I know about your plan to ake the jewel," Charlotte said.

Virginia and I looked at each other before looking back at her. "How did you find out about that?" we asked in unison.

Charlotte chuckled. "I have my ways," she replied.

As soon as she said that, I understood how she found out. From the look on her face, I could tell Virginia did too. "Blaze" we said in unison.

Charlotte nodded. "Don't tell him I told you," she said with a wink, "Anyway, I think I can help you."

   "Really?" I asked, "How?"

"Well, I have some friends who canfind a way into the place," she replied, "Maybe I can introduce you?"

Virginia and I looked at each other. "Deal," we said.
