"So Cara tell me about yourself" Daniels mom asks me at dinner

"Well I'm uh a girl and I am 17"

My mom kicks my leg and I look up at her

"What" I mouth

"Be nice" she mouths back

I roll my eyes and stab my chicken

I really don't want to be here right now. We're at this extremely fancy restaurant with only chicken and beef

"Why aren't you eating your chicken" my mom asks which causes everyone to look at me

"Mom I'm vegetarian you know this"

"Well I figured you'd be out of that stage in your life"

"It's not a stage to love animals"

We finally leave the restaurant and my mom is making Daniel sleep over

She is literally becoming obsessed to making Daniel my friend

"So I can sleep on the floor I guess" I tell Daniel

"No I'll take the floor it's your room" he smiles

"Okay then"

I sit on my bed and he just stands there

"So are you going to sit down or just stand there"

"Oh sorry um where do you want me to sit"

"I don't care"

"Sorry" he sits on the floor and I feel bad

"You can sit on my bed if you want. I don't mind"

"A-are you sure"

"Hey don't be nervous I don't bite" I chuckle

"Wait that sounded mean. I'm sorry I'm not good with people" I apologize

"It's fine" he sits on my bed and I face him

"So you're vegetarian?"

"Yup"

"What's that like"

"You just don't eat meat it's kinda fun"

"When did you become vegetarian"

"After my dad left" I whisper telling him the truth

"What?"

"Oh um 2 years ago"

"Oh cool so um are you tired"

"Yeah are you"

"Kinda"

"Well wanna sleep"

"Sure." He starts to get off the bed but I touch his arm stopping him

"You can stay on the bed I don't mind"

"Like w-with you?"

"Yeah if you dont mind sleeping in a bed with a girl"

"I don't mind being in a bed with a girl trust me"

"Ew stop"

"Wait I didn't mean it like that. I just meant uh well I'm gay so like girls don't really you know"

"Yeah they don't really tickle your pickle"

"Yeah actually and in many ways that is true"

I laugh and go in my bed patting next to me

He follows and lays down

"Well goodnight" I turn off my light and fall asleep

My eyes adjust to the darkness and I see Jonah standing there with a smirk

"Wha- what are you doing here"

"Well I was going to ask if you wanted to sneak out with me and get some late night food but you seem busy"

"Jo trust me it's not what you think"

"Hey I'm proud of you you've been dick deprived for a while now"

"Oh my god stop. We're just friends"

"Hey I didn't say you can't be friends with the guys you fuck. I mean I'm more of a dump and jump myself"

"A what"

"A dump and jump. You know dump my c-"

"Okay okay I get it but seriously we didn't do anything"

"Sure well I'll let you get back to sleep bye"

"Jo-" I start talking but he just walks out my window so there's no need to finish

Groaning I go back to bed
