Cara- hey I'm thinking of going to school on my own today

I text Jonah not wanting to face him after yesterday

Jo- really?

Cara- yeah I want to show off my bike

Jo- lol okay I'll see you at school

Cara- see you 😊

Jo- what's with the emoji?

Cara- I thought it was cute

Jo- since when did you care about being cute lol

Cara- Ha. Ha. Ha. How funny are you

I roll my eyes and put my phone in my pocket.

I walk outside and get on my bike to drive to school

I haven't driven it anywhere and I'm really excited to.

I get to the school and quickly park it next to the only two others (out of 1,000 potential motorcycles there could be) and head inside

I walk to my locker and realize I have a test in English today. I sigh and shut my locker walking down to my class room

My phone buzzes and I look at my text

Jo- hey where are you

Cara- English test. Gotta study before

Jo- oh okay will I see you after class

Cara- if you come to my class

Jonah- okay well go study

I roll my eyes and get to my class. I sit in my seat and start to study for the test

"Okay class times up everyone bring your papers to the front of the room"

Welp I definitely failed that test. All I knew was Romeos and Capulet and Juliet's a Montague. Wait... maybe it's the other way around. Oh well who cares I already have a... F in this class but that's okay

"Cara can I see you for a minute" my teacher asks

I stand up and walk to her desk

"Okay so I was grading your test and you knew absolutely nothing on it what's going on?" She asks me

"Nothing really"

"Do you understand the topic"

"Yeah Romeo and Juliet are lovers but they can't be together because they got into a fight one time and their parents hate the kids and want nothing to do with them"

"That is absolutely incorrect. Their parents don't hate Romeo and Juliet they hate the other parents because their servants caused a fight between the two families which caused the King to be upset" is this right?

"Well there was something about fighting"

"Cara this is not okay. Romeo and Juliet is pretty much the easiest Shakespearean play you could read."

"Well it's not easy to me"

"Do you understand you have an F in my class. This test will bring you so down that there's no need to even be in this room anymore. You seriously need to get your act together and start caring about things. You're a senior now and you want to get in a good college don't you"

"Yeah. But it's only the start of the year how bad can it be"

"It's the start of the third semester. You only have 5 months until you are out in the real world"

"It's just hard"

"I know you think it's hard but you're in a class with freshman and they're all passing my class. Maybe if you actually showed up to school or payed attention instead of sleeping this wouldn't happen"
