I swan the next day, thinking about what Rei said to Rin. How he wants them to become the best team at the tournament. That made me want to swim faster. I had to swim fast in the relay for Rin, or I would never forgive myself. I also thought about other things he said. Something had have to had happened in Australia. I didn't want to pry at anything. So I left it at that. I got out of the pool to refill my water bottle. I then was stopped by a hand on my shoulder. I looked up and saw Captian Makoshiba. "Yes Captin?" I asked. "You and Rin seem a little off today, did something happen?" He asked me. "Um, no." I said. "Nothing at all." "Come on, tell me the truth." He said to me. "Fine." I said. "A aquatience of ours visited us today and said some things to is that gave us a reality check." He then stare at me for a couple of seconds. "Thanks for telling me, get back to work now." He said. "Aye sir!" I said. I then went to fill up my water bottle.

Me and Rin were walking to the bus. Rin got a text and pulled his phone out. I peeked over his shoulder and saw it was from Gou. It said good luck to both sides. I smiled. Then Nitori walked up to us. "What is it?" He asked. "Nothing." We both said. I started to walk away with Rin. We then got on the bus and I sat next to Rin.

We got to the hotel and I saw I had a room right next to Rin and Nitori. I placed my stuff on the bed and in the closets. I then heard a knock on the door. I went up and opened it. I saw Rin standing there. "Yeah?" I asked. "Could you come with me?" He asked me. "Um, sure, just let me grab my room key." I then ran inside and grabbed the card that was sitting on my desk, along with my phone. I then met Rin in the hallway and shut the door. Then we were off to who knows where.

We were standing, looking at the windmills turn. I could hear footsteps against the dirt. Rin still haven't told me why we were here yet. "Yo." Rin said. I turned around and looked at the person he was speaking to. It was Rei. I would never had agreed to this if I knew Rei was going to be here. "Did you want something?" He asked. "I never answered your question." Rin said. "That's no longer necessary." Rei said. "No, I'll give you my answer." Rin said. "Are you sure Rin?" I asked him. He looked me in the eye and gave me a reassuring smile. I gave him one back. "I'm giving you my answer because I won't feel like it's over until I do." Rin said. "You wanted to know how I feel about Haru right? It's true that I was fixated on racing him. But it's not Haru's fault that I quit swimming. I was pretty shocked when I lost to him. But that wasn't what did it. After moving to Australia. I trained everyday and participated in tournaments. But I couldn't swim the way I wanted to. The Olympics were completely out of reach. I felt more and more like I was being left behind. I could only wonder. Why was I struggling so much? Why? It was because I swam in a relay. I ruined myself. That was the conclusion I arrived at. After retiring to Japan I didn't let anyone know. I didn't talk to any of them. But when I swam with Haru that night, I had a breakthrough. I wanted to swim again. When I watched you guys swim at Prefectuals, it reminded me of you relay." "Rin-San, you..." "Your name is Ryugazaki?" Rin asked. "I'm going to swim in Samezuka's relay. I'M going to show you how good I can be. So do the best you can with Haru and your other teammates. But that also means that, you can't embarrass your team. Now that I told him what I did these years, you tell us what you were doing Hibiki." Rin said, turning to me. "So that's why you brought me here." I said. "I guess I have to say it now. When Rin left for Australia, everyone said I disappeared. No one could find me, no one knew where I was. I just vanished. I disappeared because I didn't know what to do with my life anymore. My parents fought constantly. When Rin left and I was all alone, I couldn't take it. I stole my parents money and bought a ticket to America, so I could live with my grandma with out any arguing. But, recently my grandma passed away. She left me with tons of money so I could make a living. So I went back to japan and Iwatobi. Hoping that I could find the others again. The day that I was found swimming in the Iwatobi pool I was shocked that they didn't remember me. It was like my actions of disappearing finally caught up to me." I could feel tears run down my face. I then started to walk. "Are you coming with me or not Rin?" I asked. I then heard footsteps behind me and I walked on.
