Me am Nitori were trying to cheer Rin up. He wasn't in the relay anymore. "You'll get to be in the relay at Nationals! Our team will definaty advance!" Nitori said. "Come on Rin, you should foucus on your free today." I said. "Just forget about the relay." "Shut Up!" Rin screamed in my face. He then walked out of the bus, leaving me and Nitori behind. Nitori was stunned in shock of what just happened. "Come on, he's going to need a major cheering section today." I said in a monotone voice.

We were all lined up in a line, listening to the director talk. I was standing behind Rei. He didn't look so good. He had a blank face, and his eyes didn't hold as much drive as they did before. I was getting worried about how he was going to do today.

I watched Rin get up on the block. He then dived in. He made a late start. "Rin! You have to win Rin!" I yelled. "Go! Go! Go! Go!" I was yelling. Rin was in last place. What was wrong with him? I hated seeing him like this. He looks defeated. I saw Rin breathe hard at the wall. Did he choke on the water or something. He as trying to get out of the water, but it didn't look like he had the strength to do it. He was miserable. I ran out into the halls with Nitori, trying to find Rin. "Senpai!" Nitori yelled when he found him. "Rin!" I yelled. We then caught up to him. I hugged him from behind. "Please wait!" I said. "It's okay! You just happened to have a bad day!" Nitori said. "You made me scared Rin. When you couldn't get out of the water I thought you hurt yourself really bad." I could feel tears brim on the edge of my eyes. "If you were in better condition you would have-" Nitori said. "Shut up!" Rin yelled, throwing me off of him. I hit against the glass,my wrist landing on the floor a funny way. "Senpai! Please calm down!" Tears ran down my cheek. "If you do that you won't be allowed to participate in the next tournament!" Nitori said. "I don't give a damn about what happens!" Rin yelled. "I'm obviously no better than this! That's why I was taken off the relay! Forget it! I quit! I'm done swimming!" Rin then kicked a garbage can over. "Matsuoka-Senpai!" Nitori yelled as Rin started to walk away. "Rin. Please don't do this!" I yelled to him. He stopped. He then looked back at me, anger in his eyes. The anger then turned into shock. Like the time I hurt Rei. Rin then ran away. Me being me, I started to cry. I then saw Nitori run away. Probaby after Rin. No, he saw something. That made him run away. I looked over and saw the Iwatobi Swim Club. They ran up to me. "Are you okay!" They said. "I'm fine." I said standing up. My wrist was hurting like crazy. "I need to tell you guys something." Rei said. "Last night Rin called me out last night to talk. He told me when he said he wanted to quit swimming in middle school, it wast because he lost to Haruka-Senpai. He hit a wall while training abroad and his confidence was shaken. That's why he wanted to quit swimming. But after returning to Japan, running into Haruka-Senpai, and racing him again, he could put it behind him. After watching us swim at Prefectuals, he remembered what it was like, and wanted to swim in a relay again. That's why he said he'd swim with Samezuka to how us the best relay ever." "I didn't realize Rin-Chan felt that way." Nagisa said. "But that's not what he really wants." Rei said. "He didn't care about the race. He just wanted to swim with you all again. To swim with the best teammates he could have." "How do you know that?" Haruka asked, standing up. "Because, I feel the same way he does." Rei said. "I want to swim in a relay with all of you. With the best teammates I could ask for. I'm sure you feel the same way Haruka-Senpai! The trace isn't important! There's someone you want to swim with right?!" "I want to swim with Rin." He said. I'm sure by now that I've missed my events. I didn't care anymore. "If you don't do something, Rin-San will stop swimming. You're the only ones who can help him!" "But what are we supposed to do?" Makato asked. "You still don't understand?! Logically speaking there's only one solution!" Rei said. "Rei, are you really okay with that?" Haruka asked. "Of course!" Rei said. "Do whatever you guys want, I'm going to leave." I said, standing up. "Hibiki." Nagisa said. "Don't you have other events?" Makato asked. "I disqualified." I said. "How did you do that!?" Nagisa asked. "I didn't swim." I replied. I then walked away. "I didn't tell anyone about this. But I was taken off the relay team too." I yelled back to them. "Come on Hibiki! Help us find Rin!" Rei said. "Why should I do that!" I yelled back. "Because you've always wished for everyone to swim together and be happy from the start!" Rei said to me. I froze. "Is that true Hibiki?" Haruka asked. "I just wanted everyone to be happy again." I said, tear streaming down my face. "Then help us find Rin!" Makato said. "Okay. I replied. Then we all darted off into seoerate directions. After a while we all ran into each other, exept for Haruka. "I can't find him anywhere!" Nagisa said. "Same here." Makato said. I then had a idea. I think I might know where he is, follow me!" I said. We then all ran.
