Cassie
It didn't take as long as I thought it would. The doctor I guess just used a needle and injected me with something. Then I slowly felt my vampire abilities fade away. As soon as I was unstrapped from the table I went to Ash's bedroom door and knocked. The door slightly opened and I saw Ash with his head in his hands on the floor, crying?
"Ash?" I asked softly and kneeled next to him. As much as I wanted to be furious with him I just couldn't. "I'm so sorry Cassie you have to understand that. I know what I did was stupid and I would understand if you rejected me, but please believe I did it so you wouldn't die from self destruction like the last person that vampire changed. He has a history."
His shoulders started to shake and loud uncontrollable sobs wracked his body. "No Ash I'm not gonna reject you I understand it was for good reasoning. Don't beat yourself up about it." He looked into my eyes and I wiped away his tears as he cupped my face in his hands.
I sighed and helped him off the floor. He embraced me and Nuzzled his nose in the crook of my neck. Once he calmed himself, he backed away and did something I didn't expect, he kissed me.
The kiss was passionate, soft, sweet, and everlasting. I moaned in enjoyment as he trailed down to my neck. He came up to my ear and nibbled on my earlobe. "I would like to mark you with your permission and you do the same to me." He lustful deep voice gave me shivers down my spine.
"Permission granted." After those two words I felt his canines elongate and graze my neck. Then he bit into it. At first it pinched but then turned to full blown pleasure. He licked his mark and observed. Then looked at me with black eyes. Blacker than coal.
"Would you like to mark me?" He asked focusing on my face. I could find no words so I just nodded my head. He kissed me again and this time I was the one leaving the trail down his strong jawline, and to his neck where his shoulder and collarbone met.
I kissed the spot and elongated my canines and bit into his skin. I licked the spot and observed. It was a white wolf like mine howling at the moon. It had my initials under it C. E. Cassie Evers. Then I went into the mirror to see Ash's mark.
It was the same as mine but with a black wolf and Ash's initials, A. W. "Ash what's your last name?" He came and wrapped his arms around me and looked in the mirror also. "Ashton Weathers. Yours?" I loved his name it would fit me perfectly, Cassie Weather. Then I answered his question. "Cassie Evers."
He smirked at me through the mirror then whispered in my ear. "Your name would be marvelous if you had my last name." I blushed until I was a tomatoes and he laughed kissing my cheek. Then he turned me around. "Wanna go for a run?" I looked out the window to see the sun setting beautifully. I nodded and he grabbed my hand.
We stepped outside and instantly changed into our wolves. His was a beautiful light black color, not gray but something somewhat close. He ran over to me and jumped on me. I playfully growled and jumped over him. Our wolves howled in delight as they ran and played together.
Ash got me pinned and licked my face. I barked in happiness but next thing I knew he was thrown off of me. I rushed over to him whining. "Ash?" Instead of answering he got up and licked my face in reassurance. Then we looked at the attacker. I whined when I saw standing there former Alpha Alex of my old pack.
He stood there smirking. Ash stepped in front of me and growled menacingly. He lunged toward Ash with his fangs bared. I couldn't let anything happen to him so without thinking I jumped in the way and tackled Alex to the ground. He scratched my rib cage and I slightly whined but bit his neck before he could attempt to do anything else.
He hissed trying to fight back. He had no luck though. Then I heard another whine. It came from Ash. He was pinned by another vampire, and when I got a closer look I saw it was former Beta Conner. He had his claws in Ash's rib. I ripped Alex's throat out not successfully killing but paralyzing him temporarily.
I ran to Conner and lunged for him, but he was too quick. He had me pinned against the tree with vampire strength. I tried biting at him but I had no luck. I glanced over at Ash who was shaking himself off. Then when he went to come after Conner, Alex tackled him.
I whined and twisted my body. Then I thought of something clever to do. So I did it. I kicked Conner in his nuts with all my strength which was a lot to be in wolf form. He felt to the ground grunting and hissing. Before he could retaliate I bit and snatched His head off. He was surely dead now. A hiss erupted from behind me and I saw Ash pinned against the tree.
I tackled Alex but before I could kill him to he looked at Conner, then back at me in pure disgust. "I'll be back little Cassie and when I do, you're coming with me and will surely pay for killing my best friend." With that he ran back into the woods with vampire speed. I looked at Ash and saw him on the ground in pure pain.
They must've got him good if he could fight back. It was too dark to see his wounds so I whined noticing him crying. "Shift Ash I'll carry you back." He nodded and shifted as I said to do. I grabbed his shirt in my mouth and carefully draped him over my back. Now that the adrenaline was fading away I could feel the injuries on my rib cage.
I whined in pain. I started to jog ignoring the hurt. A whine escaped my mouth every once in a while though. I could feel Ash's heart beat get weaker and weaker. I whined knowing if he didn't get back he could die. When we reached the pack house it was surely midnight. I whined loudly then howled for help.
If I changed I would drop him for sure. Beta Jacob cane out finally looking tired. I felt guilty for waking him but it was important. He looked at me then at Ash and gasped. He yelled for the pack to come and help get Ash and me to medical attention. I shifted once he was off of me and collapsed on the ground feeling really tired and sore.
They carried Ash and I into the infirmary laying us on the cox and tending to our wounds. I glanced at Ash's wounds and whined. (Yes she whined as a human so what.) Once I was done they were still working on Ash. I tried to go to him but they shooed me away to our room. I sat on the bed and held my head in my hands.
I felt tears erupt from my eyes then a waterfall poured out. Will Ash be okay? I need him. He's my mate. Now that I've found him Alex and Conner just had to try and take him away. I growled at the thought. I'm gonna kill Alex and when I do I'll make sure its slow and painful, but first I gotta make sure Ash was okay.
I showered and got dressed. Dawn was surfacing fast but I was nowhere near tired. A soft knock came at my door. I opened the door to find Jacob standing there looking beyond sad. My worry came in a heartbeat. "Uh Cassie the doctor said Ash lost too much blood and may not make it. He said he only has about an hour."
Tears fell from my eyes as I walked straight past him and went into the infirmary. When I saw Ash I felt guilty. Guilty for not protecting him enough. He had dark circles under his eyes, pale face, his once plump pink lips were now a sickly pale color and he looked, dead.
"Ash please wake up for me." I held his hand and cried for what felt like an eternity. I don't think I'll ever be the same if Ash died.
