Unloved Mate

Chapter 16

Cassie

Ash and I arrived at the dungeons and a guard opened the door. We walked a few cells down and came to one where we stopped. A girl about 25 sat there looking nonchalant. She had long brown hair that cascaded down her back. She was very pretty, I've gotta keep and eye on her while Ash is here then.

He unlocked the cell and we walked in. She looked up at us and I could see the snarl wanting to surface on her face when she saw me. Oh hell no bitch. I gripped Ash's hand tighter, and he looked at me confused. "Hello Alpha Ashton. You know your really cute?" How dare she just come out and say something like that to my mate?

She walked over to him and placed a hand on his chest, he looked very annoyed with this she-wolf. "You smell very good you know." She trailed her nose up Ash's neck. I don't know why I didn't do anything I was just stuck, because I wanted to see the outcome. She reached his face and kissed his cheek. I flinched at this.

Some outcome! I lunged at her and pinned her to the wall. She snarled and pushed me off of her. I fell and she landed on top of me. She went to punch me in the face but moved, so she hit the ground. I flipped us so I was on top. I slapped her hard and she punched me. I flew into the wall which only made me angrier.

At first I was going to back off but though of her kissing Ash which fueled my anger. Without any intention Jordan took control. She lunged for the girl who paled some. Jordan went for her neck when I was thrown against the wall. I looked up to see a dark tall figure.

"Hello Cassie." He smiled and I smelled the vampire radiating off of him. I snarled and he help the girl off the ground. Now she looked very scared. "I didn't tell you to fight her I said seduce him. You've failed. I heard the panicked in your mind. Goodbye." He napped her neck easily.

Ash was standing in front of me next. He growled. "So she was working with you huh Caleb." The vampire laughed. So his name was Caleb. "Yea and so was those pathetic vampire I sent after you." I gasped he was working with Alex? "That's right sweety he's dead now though he couldn't complete my task, looks like k have to do it myself." Before I could comprehend Ash was on the ground.

Caleb was crushing his throat. "NO STOP! PLEASE ILL DO ANYTHING I CANT LOSE HIM AGAIN." Caleb smirked and dropped Ash, who was now coughing and wheezing. He walked over to me and put his hands on either side of my face. "Really? Come with me and I'll let him live." I glanced over at Ash.

"Don't do it Cassie!" I looked back at Caleb. "Promise?" He nodded. I took one more glance at Ash. I was not gonna be separated from him again. Never. I looked at Caleb and tilted my head to the side and put on a crooked smile. He smirked and looked at me watching what I was gonna do next. Time for a show.

I strutted over to him. "Ugh finally you came and got me. Took you long enough." I stood next to him and grabbed his hand. I slid it around my waist. I felt sick doing this. "You know you're really cute Caleb. Maybe its because your a vampire." He tilted his head this time and came down to my face. "Are you trying to seduce me?"

I cocked a eyebrow up and smirked. I came to his ear. "Maybe I am. But you really are cute. How about we give little Ashton a show?" I pulled away and he looked at Ash. He grew a smug look. "Looks like your little mate wants me Ash." Caleb pulled me close.

It took all my will power not to push him off. I felt Ash's betrayal, hurt, and sadness. I felt guilty but quickly pushed it away. Caleb forced my head up to look directly at him. He lowered his lips to mine and kissed me. A full blown kiss. It was nothing like Ash. No sparks. Nothing.

I was getting tired of this. I kneed him in his crotch, something I do very good. He grunted and doubled over in pain. "Little bitch."  Now time to have a little fun. I ran over to Ash and helped him up off the cell floor. I turned around to be greeted with Caleb's foot. He kicked me straight in my face.

I heard a sickening crack. Great now my nose was broken! Ash came at him and threw him against the wall. Caleb held Ash by the neck and aimed for his neck. I lunged and pushed Caleb against the prison bars. Caleb pinned me against the wall now. He is strong. Where is the guards?

He came close and inhaled sharply. "Your blood smells magnificent." He took his free two fingers and wiped some from my face. He tasted it, gross. He moaned. Ash came up behind him and pulled him back off of me and slammed Caleb on the ground. He hissed in pain. Before we knew it Caleb was gone and a note was left in his place?

Ash picked it up and read it aloud. "Delicious. That's all I could say about Cassie's blood. So that means I'll be back and when I do I'll drain her right there in front of poor little Ashton. Oh and by the way Cassie I've seen better seductions before." 

Ash crumbled the paper in his hands. I got up and went to his side. I didn't know if he was upset with Caleb's threat or about me kissing Caleb. "Ash?" He looked at me eyes pitch black. "Come on." He pulled me along up the stairs and when we got out the door, all of our guards were dead. I gasped, and Ash held me tighter protectively.

We quickly walked into the house and Ash told every male to go clean the bodies and he called his back up guards to get to their new posts. Ash and I walked up to our room. "I assigned Jacob to be in charge." I took a deep breaths and nodded. He ran into the bathroom and ran out and cleaned my face.

"Ash I want you to mark me, again."
