"Harry, I am disappointed," Brandon said and Harry turned back. They were sitting alone in class, skipping their gym class. The weather outside was pleasant, it was about to rain and it was breezy. The windows of the classroom were open and Harry's hair swindleled in the wind.

"Why?"
"Because you have been treating me like shit since a while now. Do I even matter in your life anymore?" Brandon asked.
Harry laughed, "What's with you so suddenly?"
"Answer me!"
"Dude, chill. Of course you do,"
"So, is this how you treat someone you care for? We haven't talked properly for days, and when we do it's always me dragging the conversation."

"I think we just need a break and—"
"Dude, shut up. Your opinion is as bad as your eyebrows, nobody wants to know about 'em, fucking goof,"
"Alright, you know what, you're pretty rude,"
"I don't care,"
"But I do,"
"Then, that's your problem,"
"Yeah, so I'm removing that problem now,"

Brandon looked at him, "What do you mean?" He got up and walked towards Harry.
"You're gonna dump your childhood best friend for a jerk you met months ago?"
"Jaden is not a jerk, you are, Brandon,"
Brandon's grip on Harry's shoulders got grim,

"You weren't like this. Surely, you were just brutally honest but slowly it turned into plain bitterness. I don't understand, how do you go from being childhood pals to complete strangers? How do you love a friend who isn't them anymore? How is it that we knew each other so well but now we can't tell a person one thing going on in each other's life.

Admit it, a lot of shit happened and that changed the hell out of you. You're not the Brandon I knew. I don't need you anymore,"
"BUT I NEED YOU!" Brandon shouted, "I REALLY DO! Don't say that, Harry. It hurts. Hey, we're bros, right? We love each other. You promised me, Harry" Brandon said, "When we were young, we always shared blankets, you taught me how to cook when your parents came back home late, Louise usually beated us up for messing up the kitchen, we looked forward to taking a bath together, I consoled you everytime a girl dumped you...I know you're hurting...But, you're not alone, Harry,"

"If this relationship is hurting both of us, I don;t see the point continuing it. I'm done trying to help you. Every time you pull me back with the same crap and you don't do shit after that. It's the same cycle again and I can't run anymore." Harry reached the door, "PACK YOUR SHIT AND GO! GET THE FUCK OUTTA MY SIGHT!"
He slammed the door.

That after noon, everyone went back home, while Brandon sat on his seat, reading a book. It was raining outside and he didn't have an umbrella. But that was an excuse to be able to stay alone. He wanted to think about the things he did that might have left him alone.

Should he have stopped Harry from confessing? Would that stop this from happening. He couldn't believe a guy he had known for months was able to pull apart their years of friendship.

It just showed how fragile it was.
Maybe he was wrong to have believed otherwise. He was losing Harry and he couldn't do anything to stop it. And Harry didn't wanted it to stop. Maybe he finally got a chance to move away from Brandon. Maybe he felt stuck with him for all those years.

Finally, he kept the book inside and looked at the sky.
"I can't believe I forgot my umbrella today of all days," He walked towards the shed, a few metres away from the school building.

Upon reaching the shed, he met Harry. He was fixing his broken umbrella.
"Oh... Hey, Brandon" Harry felt awkward.

Brandon just waved at him with one hand while his other was in the pocket of his hoodie. He wanted to talk about Jaden and about how he had been feeling.

"OMG! YOU'RE DRENCHED!" Harry looked at his clothes, "YOU IDIOT! WHAT IF YOU CATCH A COLD?!" Harry was acting normal again.
"Where is the umbrella stand?"
"Over there—HEY! Don't ignore me!" Harry shouted, "Also, I'm sorry for that vent—"
