I watched as Zayn shoved my luggage under an empty, well-made bunk. He then continued to carry my multiple make-up bag into the small bathroom and put them in an empty cupboard. Without a word, he also put my 'feminine' products in the same cupboard. Walking into the kitchen, he grabbed a sharpie and masking tape. He ripped a piece of tape off, and, after placing it on the cupboard door, scribbled something on it. I approached him to take a better look.
ALANNA'S CUPBOARD: BEWARE, TAMPONS INSIDE.
I burst out laughing, making Zayn turn to me, his eyebrow raised. "What?" He asked, oblivious to why I was laughing.
"You're seriously advertising where I put my stuff?" He nodded an bounced, well, more like skipped, out of the bus.
"Can I use those to prank Harry?" Louis voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I jumped, tripping on a dirty t-shirt and fell backwards. Oomph. Something whimpered below me.
Looking over my shoulder, I realized I had landed on Louis.
Pain covered his features while tears pricked at his eyes. "Oh, gosh!" I rolled off of the Doncaster boy and scanned him for injuries. His wrist was bent in a strange way, laying on the ground.
"Alanna," Louis whimpered. "I think you broke my wrist!" Five minutes ago, I couldn't wait to get out of this hospital parking lot. Now, I'm thankful there was a doctor near-by.
I helped Louis up, being careful with his wrist, and led him out of the bus and towards the old, brown-bricked building. "Woah, what's with his wrist?" Harry, Niall and Liam gathered around.
"He may have broken it. We need to get him to the ER as soon as possible." I rushed the poor, pained boy inside while the other's followed silently. I approached the receptionist, who I knew all too well.
The lady grinned up at me. "Hello, Alanna. What can I do for you?"
"Sarah, I think my friend broke his wrist." I gestured to Louis, who was obviously trying to hold back tears. Sarah glanced over her desk and inspected it, before standing and retrieving one of the doctors.
Doctor Marslen, as her nametag read, pulled Louis into a room. She knew that we were in a rush; everyone in the hospital did. She inspected his wrist for a few moments before dragging him off to X-rays. She obviously didn't want to have to talk to Simon, who was fairly rude when angry, frustrated or just plain cranky. The rest of the boys and I waited in the waiting room. Half an hour later, an angry Simon and a grinning Louis entered the room, but coming from two different places.
Simon glanced at us, just sitting around and waiting. "Where the hell have you been?!?! We're supposed to be leaving ten minutes ago!" He exclaimed. You could practically see the steam blowing out his ears.
"Sorry, Simon. Alanna broke my wrist." Ah, so it WAS broken. Wait.... did he just say that I broke his wrist? Oh hell no!
I gaped at Louis. "I didn't break it, you're the one who landed on it weird!" My eyes were wide as I yelled at the boy.
"You're the one who fell on me!" He shot back. I just gawked at him.
Simon suddenly butt in. "Wait a minute, broken wrist?" He emphasised the last two words. Louis and I nodded sheepishly, making Simon angrier. "Just get on the bloody bus and take pain killers." With that, he stormed off. Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning....
"What crawled up his trousers?" Zayn asked, slinging his arm around my waist and pulling me close to him.
I laughed. "A cow," I stated confidently. "Well..." An awkward silence fell between us until Louis burst out laughing.
"A-a-a cow, w-well!" What the hell? "That's his last name!" I chuckled at his idiotic-ness and strolled out of the room, dragging Zayn along with me. The rest of the boys followed closely behind before sprinting towards the bus.
They clambered in, and I could hear their conversation from where I stood. "Awwww, why does she get the good bed?" Niall complained.
"Because, she's a girl." Harry replied.
Niall answered in his Irish accent, "But that one's the biggest!"
"Don't girls sleep with like, eight pillows, though?" Liam asked, obviously thinking that was how it was.
"That means that they need the bigger bed, just so that they can have more pillows?" Niall checked. Liam made a sound to confirm.
I stepped onto the bus. "That's a lie, I only have four pillows." I pointed to the bunk which, now that Niall had mentioned it, was the biggest.
Zayn looked at me, smirking. "The rest of us only have one, love." The driver then came in and informed us that we were leaving, before going and starting the engine. I cuddled into the corner of the couch with a book, Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen. Louis was watching some weird American show, Liam was on his phone, Niall was lounging next to me on his mobile twitter app while Zayn and Harry chatted where the bunks were. This was going to be a long trip.
