A sheepish Romance (TAWOG Rob X OC Story)

Chapter 4: The first day-part 3

Rob and I walked through the corridors in a awkward silence. Though I couldn't help but wonder what Rob meant by 'You remembered my name?' 
I turned to him and asked just that. "Rob..."He nearly jumped when I said his name. 
"U-Uh yeah?" He said nervously. 
"What did you mean by 'you remembered my name?' Doesn't everyone know it?" I asked tilting my head. 
"Well..." He sighed crossing his arms slightly. "No... No they don't" I noticed that he seemed tense slightly, so I reached up and lightly put a hoof on his shoulder. 
"Hey... You don't have to talk about it... If you don't want to..." I say lightly smiling at him. 

Rob looked over at me and seemed a little shocked about my gesture but he lightly smiled as well. "You're really nice Mary." 
I felt my face heat up slightly and I awkwardly giggled rubbing the back of my head. "W-Well I have to..." 
"You... Have to?" Rob asked slowly, his expression falling flat in confusion. 
I gave him an awkward closed eye smile. "Yeah... I mean we are friends... aren't we?" I added quickly realizing how that sounded to him. 
"Friends? Yeah... Friends. I like that." Rob said I could hear the smile in his voice. 
I sighed softly looking down the hallway as we walked down it. "So Is there a lot of things to do in Elmore?" 
"Well... I guess." He started before lightly grabbing my arm and pulling me to the side as a T-rex ran passed chasing after Gumball. "Though you do need to watch your back." 
"Wow..." I muttered quietly. "And that happens often?" I asked and looked towards Rob. 
"Yeah... Unfortunately" Rob rolled his eye slightly. "So Many just ignore it." 

"Everything must be repeatedly crazy here..." I said glancing at the back of the T-rex as it turned the corner. 
"You don't even know the half of it." Rob muttered slightly with a small sigh, he started walking again lightly pulling me along with him
We walked in comfortable silence as we continued to my locker. I kept glancing over at Rob before I realized that he was still holding my hand. "Um... Rob you can let go of my hand now..."
I saw Rob tense and quickly release my hand.
"S-Sorry Mary." 
 I laughed at him lightly nudging him in the arm. "I-It's okay..." After a couple seconds of awkward silence rob stopped. 
"Um... here's your locker" Rob said pointing to a locker on the lower set. 
"Thanks Rob." I smiled at him and started to open it. As soon as I got it open I put my books inside only keeping three out; The book for my next class, My notebook and my personal notebook I carry everywhere to write little stories I can make into something bigger. "You know I don't see why people don't remember your name, You're really nice." I shut my locker and turned back to look at Rob, who was faced away from me. "Rob? Are you doing okay?" I asked. 

"S-Sorry Mary I need to do something quickly!" Before I could ask anything Rob was already running it down he hallway as he turned a corner I could have sworn his face was a darker shade of blue. His sudden exit confused me slightly but I thought he must have had something important to do, so I gave a small shrug and started walking back to the cafeteria, hopefully remembering the way back to it. 
'Why was Rob acting so weird?' I thought to myself as I walked. 'I didn't embarrass him... Did I?' Realisation dawned on me. 'Great I embarrassed someone on my first day!' I quietly groaned to myself rubbing a hoof to my forehead. 'I just hope he's not too embarrassed.' 

(Time Skip) 
'I haven't seen Rob all day...' I thought as I rested on my hoof as I stared out the School buses window. We were still parked infront of the school and we were waiting for others to get on. I heard someone sit down next to me and I glanced over. "Rob! Are you okay? Did I make you feel uncomfortable back there?" I asked hurridly worried I actually did do something to embarass him. I didn't even realize I bleated, well I noticed now. 'Geeze Mary-Anne calm down. your bleating like crazy.' I told myself. 
"Mary." Rob said suddenly his voice pulling me from my own mind. 
"Huh?" I said confused. "Wait when did the bus start moving?" 
Rob laughed lightly. "You zoned out. I said it's okay. I'm just not used to people complimenting me bacause well... no one remembers me." He looked down slightly. 

I thought for a few seconds before pulling out my notebook and tearing out a page I folded it in half and half again before writing my number on it, I turned to Rob who was watching me in confusion and handed the paper over to him with pink cheeks. "I-Incase you need to talk with someone." 
Rob looked at me then lightly took the paper. "Thanks Mary." He smiled and I gave him a smile back. The bus stopped a few minutes later, meaning that Rob and others had to get off at their stop as the bus drove off, I waved and he waved back. I sighed sitting back in my seat. 
"Sooo" Gumball suddenly said from next to me causing me to almost jump out of my skin. "Who was he?" 

"A-A friend." I stuttered feeling my face grow warm.
"Uh-Hmm Didn't look like a friend to me." Darwin added with a small laugh. 
"Ugh..." I covered my face slightly feeling it grow hotter. 
"Oh hey this is our stop. Come on Mary!" Gumball said grabbing my hand and pulling me off the bus. As soon as we got off the bus. I ran back to my house and went inside putting my bag by the door and falling down on the navy blue couch. 
"Oh Mary you're home" My mother smiled comming out of the kitchen with her floral apron on. "How was your first day?" She asked.    

"It was amazing..."
