"I wish sometimes that I could just turn off my mind so that I wouldn't be bothered by my overwhelming thoughts."

"I'm sorry about today (y/n). I really am." Gaara softly said, standing besides the Uchiha. As they both waited for their kids to come home from the academy. Usually the three boys would get dropped off at their building but today Gaara has decided it was best for (y/n) to leave a bit earlier than usual. Giving her time to get her boys along with his own son.

"It's fine Gaara. I was just foolish enough to think that I would never see him again. How foolish." (Y/n) mumbled, brushing off the many stares her and her headed friend were getting. It was an unusual sight to see their Kazekage with the female Uchiha alone picking up their kids. Some might even get the wrong idead.

"Mom!" (Y/n) smiled at the loud shout, looking straight ahead to see her youngest running towards her. Daisuke trailing right behind him at a far normal pace. Not voicing any emotion but the small smile on the corner of his lips giving what he truly felt away.

Leaning down, (y/n) let out a small breath of impact. Nomi wrapping his small arms around his mother as best as he could. Before placing a small kiss to her cheek, turning his attention to the male besides her. "Gaara." Nomi cheered, peeling away from his mother and launching himself at the male.

(Y/n) only smirked at how awkward her friend could be at any intimate touches, even if it was just a simple hug. "Hi mom." Daisuke mumbled, shyly wrapping his arms around her quickly before pulling away. The faintest blush on his chubby cheeks.

"Look Daisuke, Gaara came to see us." Nomi excitedly spoke, grabbing his brother's arm and pulling him towards the older male. Both boys chattering to the Kazekage, while (y/n) patiently waited for Shinki to show up. Peeking up at the sight of him calmly walking towards them. She stood back up, running her fingers through the boy's brown hair. Giving the boy his own personal space, Shinki reminded her of a younger version of Gaara.

"Let's go home boys. Say bye to Gaara and Shinki." (Y/n) said her own goodbyes, both of her sons taking one her hands as they walked home. Her listening patiently to her sons talk about their day. Well mostly Nomi talking while Daisuke would put his own comment when he wanted to.

"Are you okay mom?" Nomi couldn't help but ask, little blue eyes peering up at his mother. Daisuke showing a concerned expression while he too looked up to see his mother. While her boys were young, (y/n) couldn't help but admit that they were quite perceptive. And knew exactly how she was actually feeling.

"Nothing for you to worry about." (Y/n) softly spoke, trying to ease their feelings. Watching them both just nod their heads before continuing to talk about their day.

"Nomi stop teasing Daisuke. Daisuke put your fist down or you'll be the one in trouble." (Y/n) shouted, quickly walking into the boy's shared room. Sighing softly as she separated them, helping them each get ready for bed.

Frowning when Nomi stuck his tongue out to towards his brother. Who in return just glared even harder if it was even possible. The only downside of having such small males in her life. They were always randomly competing, (y/n) blamed their genetics.

"Stop making those faces or you'll permanently look like your Uncle Sasuke, you two." Sitting down on her eldest son's bed, she placed a kiss on his forehead. Before getting up and heading towards her youngest son. Following the same action, as she stood up and turned off their light.

"Night mom." The twins said in perfect synchronization. She blew them one last kiss leaving the door a bit open as she headed towards her own room.

(Y/n) supposed it was going to be one of those nights where her mind was still working even if she just wanted to sleep. Already laying in bed for an hour and no sign of sleep heading her way, she could only lay still and stare up at the ceiling. This was something (y/n) had expected to happen to her.

Especially because the days were coming closer to seeing her ex. This was surely a topic that wouldn't want to let her mind rest, even if she needed the sleep. (Y/n) guessed she was just grateful that no tears have shown up. They would more likely never come but she highly doubted that. How could one not feel anything if they were still in love when the other broke up with them. (Y/n) didn't know how those people did it.

"Kami is this punishment for my wrong doings because I could've sworn I payed enough when he left me for someone else and then for me to raise our kids alone singlehanded."

(Y/n) only sighed, if she kept talking to herself then she would give everyone an actual reason to call the Uchihas crazy. Rearranging herself so that she would lie on her side. She curled up into herself, feeling as if she had to hide from the world. She just figured this was the best way to do so.

"Hopefully this will be the only sleepless night I have. Because if not then the next couple of days are going to be even worse if I can't sleep."
