"His journal? What the fuck do you have that for??"
Yoongi sighed with a small laugh as he set the journal on the table, out of Namjoon's reach.
"Funny story," Yoongi started as he looked down. A small smile graced his lips. "Actually, I found it in Mrs. Hwang's classroom. I went in to ask her about something, and she wasn't there... and then I saw this lying on the floor by one of the desks, so I grabbed it hoping I'd be able to return it to the owner."
Namjoon nodded slowly. "And... how do you know it's his, exactly?"
Yoongi laughed again. "I took it home and decided that opening it to see if someone had written their name in it wouldn't hurt, so I read the whole first entry, and he said something about not writing his name in it so if he lost I at school, then people wouldn't know who it belonged to because it's only logical if you find a journal that you'll read it."
"Ah." Namjoon nodded in understanding.
"But the funny part is, I did find a name. Except it was mine."
Namjoon laughed slightly. "Really? Let me see."
Yoongi grabbed the journal and flipped to the first entry to show his younger friend what was written at the bottom.
I love Min Yoongi.
That is all.
Namjoon snorted loudly, drawing attention to himself from the table behind them. The students there sent him weird looks before turning back to what they were occupied with before.
"That's like, the cheesiest thing ever, dude!" Namjoon laughed.
"Shut up, Joon," Yoongi said angrily.
Namjoon held his hands up in surrender, chuckling quietly. "Sorry," he said with an obnoxious smile. "Didn't mean to offend your boyfriend."
Yoongi narrowed his eyes at the younger. "Shut the fuck up. You see, this is why I don't ever tell you things."
Namjoon calmed his little bit of laughter. "Okay, okay. I'm sorry. I should be taking this seriously."
Yoongi looked at him with a glare. "Yes. Yes you should."
"I just can't help it. I've never seen you this helpless and troubled."
Yoongi sighed. "Yeah, I know. I haven't either. I'm so confused it's ridiculous! How can one boy make me this confused?"
Namjoon could see it in Yoongi's eyes. The elder didn't need to explain it to him. He could see how troubled Yoongi was. And though Yoongi may not realize it himself, Namjoon could see everything crystal clear. This crush of Yoongi's was certainly no crush. The way Yoongi described how he felt about Jimin was a giveaway. That's always how his dad had described it to him when talking about his mom. But Yoongi needed to realize it for himself. So Namjoon didn't say a word.
Namjoon was too busy thinking about the whole thing that he hadn't realized his older friend was busy ranting about Jimin.
"...I mean, how can one human being be so perfect? The way he fucking breathes, Joon. The way he breathes is so attractive, and you probably find it weird as hell that I think that, but it's the truth. There isn't one single flaw within him, and it's frustrating!"
Namjoon laughed slightly as Yoongi was practically ripping his hair from his head at this.
"Glad you find joy in my misery," Yoongi said grumpily, "because I certainly don't."
