"Ring! Ring! Ring!" The school bell screamed at the the school as the students of Roloyale Secondary came pouring out of the school.
"Phew! What a day," I said exhaustedly." Well, its a good thing that my teachers taught me how to create and use a portal." I then lift my hands up and do a turning hand gesture which then forms into a 3 meter tall portal and on the other side was a big, open void. Knowing what i am doing, i jumped into the portal and quickly spawned in an enormous, invisble sheet that can handel any heavy weight.
After i landed on the sheet, i then walked along the yellow, sparkly trail that leads to 3 other portals.The one in grey in front of me was to go home, the other one in indigo to my left is to go to any of my friends house if i think of only their name while stepping in the portal and the last one, which is in greenish-blue, is the one that leads to a mansion where me and my friends go when we either want to hang out or have a meeting. Without a second thought, i went in head-first into the portal where it leads to my home.
"Oh shoot! I left my project instructions booklet at school!" I gasped "I am so done for!" And with that, i left out a huge sigh. How could i have been so forgetful? I mean, the past few years, i have only forgotten to bring back my homework 467 times. Was that enough?
I decided that im going to come up with an excuse tomorrow to prevent myself from getting scolded or finding out what happens after i finished the last straw that my teacher gave me. After i dealt with my situation, i went down to the 1st floor of the house to have lunch.
After i had my lunch and had cleaned my dishes, i felt bored and decided to mess around with my powers a little bit.
-After 1 Hour-
"You call this a little bit?" My mom reprimanded me. "You have messed up the whole house, young boy! You better know how to clean up the whole house with your powers, or else!" I nod my head towards my mother's response and cleaned up the house within an instant without breaking a sweat.
After all of that was done, my mom went to prepare dinner for me and my ever late dad who always comes home late and giving the same excuse everytime
" Sorry, i just had a lot of work to do." And his broken promise everytime
" I promise that i will come back home early" And that has never happened. And yet, my mom still believes that dad is gonna come home early one day despite my dad being late every single time.
On a Saturday morning, i saw a note lying on my desk beside me. I picked up the note and read it. It says:
" Dear Son,
I am sorry that i have been coming home lately everytime. But this time, this time i will try my very best to come home early to spend quality time with you and your Mom. Will you still give me another chance?
Love,
Dad"
I thought over this and over again, to make sure that im not making a huge mistake and after what seem like eternity, i arrived at my answer, yes.
And at that rainy night, dad for once went with his promise and came home. My mom welled up in tears as she rushed over to my dad and gave him a big hug even though he was soaking wet from the rain. I walked up to my dad saying
" Hmph, you finally came home. Im proud of you dad gor keeping your promise this time." My dad patted me on my head, apologising to me for not keeping his promise until now. But that didnt matter because my dad is here already so i didnt need to complain.
And from that day onwards, my life was back to normal, my family problems is finally fixed, my school examinations are over and meeting my friends are still cool to me as it is before...
